Happy Thanksgiving, everyone! Thanksgiving Day means it’s harvest festival time in Animal Crossing.
Franklin the turkey is in town, but he’s deathly afraid that someone is going to eat him. He will be hiding behind buildings and trees. Your job is to snatch the forks and knives from the large table and give them to Franklin. In exchange, he will give you a piece of harvest furniture.
Animal Crossing: City Folk on Wii also has the harvest festival. And although City Folk may do Halloween and Christmas Eve better, Thanksgiving is best on GameCube. For one thing, the atmosphere is better. City Folk has some dining tables at town hall, but there’s nobody at the tables…only Tortimer standing near them. On GameCube, the tables actually have food on them. Special festive music is playing, and there will be five animals at the tables talking, laughing, and enjoying themselves.
And yes, they actually drink from the cups!
But even aside from all that, finding Franklin is easier on GameCube because you don’t have to give away your knife and fork just to get a hint like you do in City Folk. This means less backtracking and quicker Franklin finds.
Regardless of which Animal Crossing game you’re playing (if any), have a great Thanksgiving, everyone!
