Cherry Blossom Festival 2021

When I played on March 13th, I received Freya’s goodbye letter in the mail. So I tracked down her replacement, Bitty the hippo.

Bitty: Mine is Bitty. Well, nice to meet you, my dear!

She has lived in Forest before, back in 2013…when she actually replaced Rizzo.

Fast forward a few weeks to today (April 6th). Bitty is now gone, and Velma has taken her place. She also lived in Forest in 2013. It seems like 7-8 years seems to be about the typical amount of time for one of my former villagers to return, after moving out. Of course, I typically only play once a month or so, so that figure could be quite different for you, depending on how frequently you play.

Velma: Stop shouting! I'm right here! I can hear you fine, blih!
Oh jinkies.

When I visited Ursala, she was happy that spring has finally arrived. She said that everyone looks warm and contented now. She said everyone looked grouchy in the winter! πŸ˜› That’s understandable.

Ursala: It seemed like in the winter, all the animals had the grouchiest faces on every day, grooomph.

The cherry blossom festival was underway at the wishing well. Tortimer was there to share some words about the arrival of spring, while Genji and Belle were seated at a table, enjoying themselves. 🌸🌸🌸

Genji: So we've gotta rage on! Let's party until our muscles cramp up, Jeff!
Belle: Don't just stand there! Join in, Jeff! This is a totally raging good time, in a tutu!

Kody and Patty sat at the other table, and Kody encouraged me to enjoy an adult-sized glass of juice. 🍷

Kody: So, plop down in the grass and help yourself to an adult-sized glass of juice!

Candi was the designated dancer this year. She told me to check out the blossoms and shake my groove thang, in her ears. πŸ˜›

Candi: They'll make you all happy, and that will totally make you wanna shake your groove thang, in my ears!

Happy Cherry Blossom Festival, everyone!

  1. This game is very good, too bad I only managed to play it at a friend’s house, more than 5 years ago. In the country where I live (Brazil), buying the game online is absurdly expensive on most sales website sellers, so for now, I’m just happy with my New Leaf, New Horizons and City Folk.
