Sell All Feature

I received this letter in the mail from Mom, who just got back from a trip to a hot spring for some alone time with Dad. She said they came back feeling like newlyweds, which is getting into “too much information” territory.

My dear Jeff, I tell you, sometimes, when your father and I get too stressed out, we just head to a hot spring for some time by ourselves. We come back feeling like newlyweds! -Your squeaky-clean mom
She attached a cherry to the letter.

I also got a letter from Huggy, who has moved out of town since last time.

Jeff! I awoke the other day with the wanderlust, so I just up and left. Wild, huh? On the road, destination unknown! Anyway, thanks for dealing with my craziness! Cheery-bye! -Huggy

Nearby, I ran into Candi, who wished me a great morning (not a good morning). But she seemed a bit confused about where she was.

Candi: Great morning to you! I was just thinking that it was about time you showed up at my door.
I’m not at your door. And this is not your house.

When I played last month, I must’ve missed speaking with Static somehow. Because today, he let me know that he hasn’t seen me in two months…and he wasn’t happy about it. ๐Ÿ˜†

Static: You haven't been doing fun things behind my back, have you, bzzzt?
You clearly haven’t been pulling weeds behind my back. Or yours.

Belle echoed a similar sentiment, even though I did speak with her last month. She’s afraid I’ll take her for granted.

Belle: You know? Not saying hello, not writing letters... It all starts totally slowly, cuddles.

Joan was in town to sell turnips, since it was a Sunday morning. I wasn’t interested in buying any, but I did stop to say hello.

Joan: Oh, that's a shame, kiddo. You'll never make the big bells if you don't play the stalk market! Maybe next time.

Ursala told me that she wants to dress up and flit around town like a butterfly! She was being more weird than rude, for a change. ๐Ÿ˜†

Ursala: I know it's weird to compare myself to an insect, but I really share many traits with a swallowtail butterfly.
Next, you’ll say you have the voice of a mermaid.

Not far from the post office, I found my newest neighbor (and Huggy’s replacement). It’s Winnie the horse, who lived in Forest previously back in 2011. Welcome back, Winnie!

Welcome to the neigh-borhood.
(Sorry.)

She has the lovely furniture set in her house. I don’t know what I was expecting to find in her house, a ranch maybe? ๐Ÿ˜†

After circling around town, I picked some apples and went to the shop to sell them. One feature that never gets talked about in this game is the “sell all” option. If you have multiples of the same fruit, you don’t have to select every single one of them. You can just select one and then choose to sell them all.

Tom Nook: You wish to sell an apple, hm? You have 6. You'd like to sell them all? >All.

Admittedly, the usefulness is limited, since we typically will have a variety of things to sell at the shop. (And it only saves a couple seconds anyway.) But it does come in handy if you’re harvesting a lot of fruit, such as when you’re saving up to pay off your debt.

That’s all for this month, but I’ll be back again in May. Never Stop Crossing! ๐Ÿ™‚

  1. Apologies if youโ€™ve answered this already and I didnโ€™t see it, but Iโ€™m curious, what do you plan to do when itโ€™s 2030, and in game, real time progression ceases in AC GameCube?

    1. From what I understand, 2030 itself will be okay, but it won’t save beyond that. So once 2031 starts, I’ll change my in-game calendar to 2003. The days of the week will match up (as will leap-year status, being one year before a leap year), so it should be fine. New Year’s celebrations (and Gulliver’s one bit of dialogue) will mention the wrong year, but it’s not a huge deal.
