When I played last week (on June 6th), I received Astrid’s goodbye letter in the mail. She also left my City Folk town about a month ago.
Candi seemed to be in a good mood, and she told me that she’s been studying Japanese recently. Since she was being nice, I didn’t even push her this time. 😉
However, I still received my normal dose of rudeness…but from an unexpected source. Astrid’s replacement moved in, and it was no other than Olivia herself!
This is (at least) her third stint in Forest, and she was as rude as always. I decided to check my letters to see if I had a pitfall on me, and I did! So I made good use of it.
I had a close call, though. Maple walked over, and almost fell into the pit before Olivia did, so I had to play like a goalie to keep Maple safe. 😛 You can see this scene, and many other highlights from the past several months in my latest video, GameCube Moments #20:
I played again today, and Olivia gave me a little quiz about garbage collection days.
I knew that was correct, so I told her that statement was true. She confirmed that I was right, but she claimed to have lost the prize (a blue vase) she promised to give me. Suuuure. 🙄
Genji was talking about fishing (since there are fishing tournaments every Sunday this month). He asked what I thought about it, and I told him it was boring (just to see how he’d respond). He said I didn’t know a thing about fishing…
…and he said I just have to let my mind go blank to fish well. 😛
Baabara was giving me some very basic knowledge about using items, saying that chests and music players are must-haves.
On that pleasant note, I’m going to wrap up this entry. As you may know, I recently posted a new City Folk gameplay video, and I plan to do the same with GameCube soon too (probably in July). So stay tuned for that, and I’ll see you next time!
I have a question Jeff… have you ever played nitendogs?
No, I’ve never played Nintendogs. It looks interesting, though!
