Doc sent me a goodbye letter in the mail today. The Doc is officially out.
Near Nookington’s, I met Doc’s replacement: Prince the frog has danced into town. Unlike frogs in New Leaf, Prince here is not a fan of rain (purple or otherwise). He’s holding a leaf umbrella here, in case it’s hard to tell since it’s cutting through the sign on his house.
When I spoke with Belle, she asked if I wanted to know a way to make money with the gyroid outside my house. I wasn’t interested, so I told her no. So she called me a naive bumpkin.
Gulliver was passed out on the shore, so I woke him up and “saved his life.” After he blamed his fall from the ship on pirates and sharks, he gave me a Tokyo Tower model.
I spoke with Ursala, and she was telling me how she loves the sounds of autumn, and September in particular.
After I spoke with everyone, and pulled all the weeds I saw, I got ready for some early September fishing. There are no sea bass out, although they will start returning in a couple days. And the fact that it was raining today made it even better, because coelacanths will join red snappers and barred knifejaws as the only fish in the ocean (outside of the acre with the mouth of the river). So I emptied my pockets and my wallet and got started.
My first batch of 15 fish included 4 coelacanths, so I knew it was going to be a good fishing haul. These 15 fish sold for 103,000 bells. Not bad for seven minutes of fishing, hm?
I spoke with Ursala again later, and she was as polite as ever.
Unfortunately, my coelacanth rate slowed down a bit, and I started catching some garbage items as well. But I still did very well on the night. In one hour of fishing, I caught 13 coelacanths and I earned a half million bells…505,000, to be exact.
And it could have been better, because seven coelacanths got away from me. Oops. But still, I took my money bags to the post office and deposited it into my account. That kicked my balance over the 19 million bell mark.
That’s what I call a successful evening. This is the best time of year in the GameCube game! Have a great day, and I’ll see you next time!
wow! you actually caught 13 of one of the rarest fish in all of animal crossing? that’s amazing!
So does Snake still lives in your town?
Yes, Snake is still in Forest.
Holy cow. For being a cycling villager, it’s insane how he hasn’t slithered out of Forest yet after being here for nearly 3 years now 😛
Yeah, I don’t fully understand how the game determines who moves out. I’m tempted to think Snake may be permanent like the 13 villagers who have been around for over a decade, but I don’t think that’s the case. Because something similar happened with Kitty. She eventually moved out in 2011, after a long stay in town.
This is so wholesome
