Hidden Fossil

I started making my way around town, pulling weeds and talking to my neighbors. There’s one spot in my town where the cliff juts out and the spot on the lower level is completely hidden. It looks like this:

ac-cliffAnyway, I had my shovel out since I was banging rocks in the area (looking for the red/money rock). And I just decided to dig in the hidden spot, and I dug up a fossil!

Check it out! I dug up a fossil! It made me wonder how long that fossil had been there. It easily could have been months, and possibly even years! I’ll never know, but it makes you wonder.

Nearby, I did find the money rock and got six bags, totaling 3,300 bells. I know some people recommend digging holes behind the rock so you can get the seventh bag, but I generally don’t bother. Partly because I’m lazy, but also because I don’t really think it’s worth the effort unless you’re desperate for bells (which I’m not). Besides, sometimes I get the full seven bags without it anyway. Just not today.

Hitting the money rock.Over by the wishing well, Belle told me that Scott visited Forest the other day. That’s a lie, because Scott hasn’t visited Forest in years.

Belle: Someone by the name of Scott dropped by the other day...After mailing away two fossils and depositing some money in the bank, I stopped by the train station to watch K.K. perform. He played K.K. Love Song for me. I had forgotten how much I like that song; it’s one of my favorites.

K.K.: You tapped for tunes? No problem. Dig this one, man. K.K. Love Song!
