New Year’s Eve

As I started up the game tonight, I found a goodbye letter in the mail: Sandy has deserted me.

ac-sandyoutNook’s was already closed for the night, so I was unable to unload my fossils or buy new paint for my roof. But I did find a new house belonging to Savannah the zebra! I’ve wanted Savannah for a long time! Unfortunately, she was already asleep. Hopefully I’ll get to meet her before she moves out.

ac-savhouseWhen it got close to midnight, I headed over to the lake to check out the New Year’s Eve festivities. Tom, Tortimer, Ursala, and Maple were there to count down the minutes until 2016. Tad was also there, but he was on the other side of the lake by himself.

Once the timer reached zero, Maple began singing and Ursala set off some party poppers. Fireworks started going off, and I could see their reflection in the lake. Happy New Year!

ac-ursalapopac-shuffleAfter watching the fireworks for a bit, I left the party to walk around town.

ac-fireworks2016 Away from the lake, the game plays a version of Auld Lang Syne that I really enjoy. Over by the wishing well, Baabara tried to convince me that she’s a serious snowboarder. Sorry Baabara, but it’s January 1st, not April 1st.

ac-shredI visited Hank for a bit and then stood around to enjoy the music before ending my game for the night. I hope you all have a great New Year’s and a wonderful 2016!

Here is a video of the New Year’s Eve celebration:

Tad’s Pad

I checked my mail today, and I found a goodbye letter from a former villager: Sprocket the robotic ostrich has bolted out of town.

Nookington’s was getting into the Christmas spirit with two festive trees on sale. I bought the large one for my house.

ac-2xmasOver by Static’s house, I found a new frog villager. Static didn’t seem very excited to meet him, not even a tad.

ac-tadI went in his house to check out Tad’s pad, and he has three farting froggy chairs inside. But the best part is that he has two elephant slides that empty into a pool! This dude has water slides in his house! How cool is that?

I had a chat with Baabara over by the river, and she told me that she went fishing with her boyfriend today. ac-baaboyVillagers sure don’t mention having boyfriends or girlfriends in the newer Animal Crossing games. But she said he caught a pale chub that made him happy.

When I met up with Genji, he told me he painted my roof!

ac-genjiroofWhen I responded by saying “Lame!” he got angry and said he should have painted it puke color! Wow, how rude!

ac-pukeI continued my walk around town; I had a lot of weeds to pull. I also dug up a bunch of fossils and gyroids. But when I made my way back home, I finally saw the extent of what Genji did: He painted my roof pink!

ac-pinkroofI’ll need to buy some paint to fix that. See you all next time!

Sprocket Moves In

It was raining in Forest today. When I checked my mail, I found a goodbye letter from Bill the duck. So long, quacker.

Animal Crossing - Bill's goodbye letterI also met my newest neighbor Sprocket, a robotic ostrich. Oh, is there such a thing?

Animal Crossing GameCube - SprocketWhen I chatted with Belle, she wanted me to help her with a maze from her Nintendo Power magazine. I’m glad these ridiculous mazes never made it into later Animal Crossing games.

Animal Crossing GameCube Belle Nintendo Power maze GIFBaabara was upset that she hadn’t seen me for five weeks. But there’s no need for name-calling!

Animal Crossing GameCube BaabaraKody was telling me how hungry he is. Apparently, he’s ready for the harvest festival already. It’s still seven weeks away though, dude.

Animal Crossing GameCube - Hungry KodyOver by the wishing well, Sydney wanted to play a game with me to determine if I have psychic powers. My actual psychic powers warned me that she was going to rip me off if I agreed, so I declined the offer.

Animal Crossing GameCube - Sydney afraid of psychic powersI pulled lots of weeds around town, until the wishing well said my town was perfect once again. See you all next time!
