Catchphrase Fun, On My Bum

I got a letter in the mail that said Velma is gone! Quick, call Scooby-Doo!

Velma's goodbye letter.Interestingly enough, nobody moved in to take Velma’s place. So Forest only has 14 villagers at the moment.

I was a bit tired of wearing the BB shirt, so I bought this jade check print at Nookington’s.

Timmy: It's quite a bargain! It was raining in town tonight, and Puck was talking about how umbrellas aren’t entirely effective. Even with one, you can’t avoid every last rain drop.

Puck: either we get a little wet or we stay indoors all day.Genji asked me for a new catchphrase, and I told him to say “on my bum.” It worked out quite well.

Genji: Oh... Look at all the mud, on my bum.In fact, I kept talking to him to see how else he would use his catchphrase. He said some funny things.

Genji: Gracie smells like flowers, on my bum.Genji: I don't need any high-brow duds, on my bum. When I was done talking to him, I pulled a bunch of weeds around town, stopped in the post office, and returned home.

Seven years ago today, I joined Youtube and uploaded my first Animal Crossing video. It was this house tour:

Tug-O-War

The fall sports fair was held today, to celebrate the beginning of autumn. The sports fair consists of four events: aerobics, foot race, ball toss, and tug-o-war. But because I didn’t play early enough in the day, I missed the first three events; only the tug-o-war event was still underway. But before I left for the fair, I had some mail to read first. One of the letters was a goodbye note from Robin, who has moved out of town.

Robin's goodbye letter.Usually the animal that moves out is my newest animal, but not this time. Robin has been in my town since May 20, 2012.

Anyway, I headed over to the wishing well. Belle and Baabara were up against Team Pink (Velma and Candi).

Tug-O-War at the sports fair.Velma felt like her arms were going to fall off. (Zoinks!) Sadly, they never did.

Velma: My arms are going to fall off if we don't win soon!Puck was the judge, and he was really getting into it. Actually he only seemed concerned with waving the flag as vigorously as possible. But he was doing it well.

Puck: Yeah! Awesome! I'm the judge!Did you notice that migratory locust in the background of that picture? I sure did, and I went to catch it. A bit later on, Maple offered to buy it from me for 1,710 bells. Deal!

Maple: Would you sell it to me for 1,710 bells? And of course, I had to go check and see who Robin’s replacement was. Turns out it was Aurora the penguin. She lives in my New Leaf town too.

Aurora: Would you like to be friends with me?Even though I didn’t see all of the sports fair events this year, I have seen them all in previous years. If you’d like to see what they look like, here’s a video that shows them all:

UPDATE: Here’s a recent Animal Crossing GameCube video I’ve made, consisting of clips that I’ve taken since last December. If you read this blog regularly, you may remember most of these happenings:

Harvest Moon Festival 2013

Tonight was the night of the harvest moon, so a moon-viewing party was held at the lake. After a quick stop at Nook’s, I made my way there. I saw Sydney and Hank enjoying the view.

Hank: I wanna watch the moon by myself, but Sydney won't leave me alone.Velma also seemed to appreciate the heavenly body above…

Velma: Have you ever seen anything so gorgeous and majestic?…until I realized she was only talking about herself. I think she’s been eating too many Scooby snacks.

Velma: Don't I look lovely in the moonlight? Wait, what did you think I meant?Tortimer was also there, lamenting the loss of warm, summer nights.

Tortimer: The warm nights of summer and really over!Emerald also came out to take a look at the moon. Naturally, she chose the spot nearest the lily pads in the lake.

Emerald: The moon looks so beautiful...After I left the festival, I ran into Candi. She informed me that I haven’t spoken to her in four months! I wonder if she’s still mad about me pushing her into the river.

Candi: What on earth have you been doing for 4 months?I pulled a bunch of weeds, and then I spotted a blue balloon present!

A blue balloon present floats by.I followed it, but it didn’t get caught in a tree. So I had no choice but to helplessly watch it sail over the cliff and out of my life forever.

Here is a video of the harvest moon festival that I recorded two years ago. Interestingly, Emerald chose the spot by the lily pads back then, too.
