Bitty Out, Kiki In

I got a goodbye letter in the mail from Bitty. She has moved out of Forest.

Bitty's goodbye letter. And I went to meet my new neighbor, Kiki!

Kiki: Pleased to meet you! I'm Kiki.I’ve had Kiki in my City Folk town before. Despite her odd appearance, I actually like her a lot.

Over by Tom’s house, Sydney was standing there, furious. I have no idea why she was so mad.

Sydney: Ooh! Why? What did I ever do to deserve this? And at the wishing well, Baabara wanted to sell me a mystery item for 16,903 bells. No way! She’s trying to fleece me!

Baabara: Decide if you'll pay 16,903 bells for improved decor! After I said no, she called me an insufferable wimp and told me the item would have been a lovely armchair. I wouldn’t have bought that for 100 bells.

Genji asked me for a new catchphrase. I had him say “& monkeys.”

Genji: Marry me, & monkeys! After that, I stopped at the post office to mail away some fossils. I still had a bunch of weeds remaining, so I went around town and picked all that I could find. I then went to the wishing well to make sure my town status was back to perfect.

Everything is perfect! Forest is a very liveable place. That’s all for today, but I’ll see you all next time!

Baabara Wah-Wah

I received a goodbye letter from Rizzo today. He has moved out of town.

Rizzo's goodbye letter. And I went to meet my new villager, Bitty.

Meeting Bitty.I also said hello to Genji, as he was talking about a giant stag beetle.

Genji: Sounds like a big bug, huh? Like a big, scary bug.Genji: I thought I saw it once, but it was just Resetti.Over by the wishing well, Baabara asked me if I preferred eating or sleeping. I told her eating, and she began to mock me. She got very rude and nasty.

Baabara: You're just like a BABY! Waaah! Waah! WAAAAAAAAH!So naturally, I got my net out and started beating her senseless.

Baabara: Doing that really hurts me! You will stop NOW!Who’s the baby now?

I circled around town and found Emerald sleeping outside her house. I woke her up and she made a blatant reference to a Talking Heads song.

Emerald: This is not my beautiful house! How did I get here? After a stop at the post office, I returned home for the night.

Mystery of the Drone Beetle

Today, Puck was talking about how he hadn’t seen me in two weeks. Yeah yeah, I understand you were worried and all, but where exactly did your eyes go?

Puck: That sorta gets me wigged out about what you get up to.I also ran into Maple, and she offered to sell me a cabin rug or wood paneling for 9,397 bells. You must be out of your mind!

Maple: I'll let you buy either one for 9,397 bells!I saw a bug on a tree, and I caught it. It was a drone beetle.

I caught a drone beetle! I wonder where the queen is.I was wondering why they took drone beetles out of the later Animal Crossing games. And then I went to Nookington’s and saw that they only sell for 80 bells! And suddenly, I didn’t miss them so much any more.

I'd be willing to pay 80 bells.I ran into Hank and chatted with him for a bit. He seemed to be in a good mood, although Kody and Baabara seemed to be having an argument in the background.

Hank: I've been yukking it up all day long! You missed out!And as I checked my town status at the wishing well, Robin ran by, kicking a basketball. A moping Static followed close behind. Perhaps she stole his ball?

Robin kicks a basketball as Static looks depressed. In the lost and found at the police station, I picked up a flip-top desk. But not 30 seconds later, Tom noticed it and offered me 3,000 bells for it! It’s all yours!

Tom: Where'd you get that? I'll give you 3,000 bells for it!He probably should have used that money to buy some new clothes instead, because that dress outfit is not very flattering.

After that, I made a stop at the post office and then returned home. I’ll see you next time!
