Late last night (after midnight), I started up the game and Tortimer was there, just waiting to scold me for not taking care of the lighthouse.
Jerk! I didn’t drop the ball, you dropped your own ball, you old fart! I told you I didn’t want to do it!
Later on, it was time for the Groundhog Day festivities.
Tortimer was at the wishing well and couldn’t remember his story.
At 8:00 a.m., Resetti popped up out of the ground.
He didn’t see his shadow, so that means spring is coming soon!
Of course it doesn’t mean anything in reality, and even Tortimer knew Resetti was full of it.
Tortimer then said he bribed Resetti to say it. So why would he say Resetti didn’t have a clue what he was talking about? I think Tortimer is the one without the foggiest clue.
Anyway, if you go back to the wishing well later in the day, Tortimer will give you a flower model (but only one time). He didn’t give me one, so I apparently got mine years ago. (I got the other flower models by trading with people). But even though I got my flower model in a previous year, this was my first time attending the 8 a.m. Resetti appearance.
Later on, I went into an igloo and Ursala wanted me to play a game where I had a 50% chance of buying a tea room wall from her for 3,000 bells. Uh, no thanks.
And on that pleasant note, I ended my day in Forest.
Oxford has moved out of town. I got his goodbye letter in the mail today.
I then checked to see who my new neighbor was. It’s Limberg the mouse.
I found Gulliver down on the beach, so I woke him up. He gave me a Merlion as thanks for “saving his life.”
An igloo was near the beach, so I went inside. Robin was in there, and she wanted my mega quazoid that I just dug up. She asked to play a game to determine the price and I lost the game miserably. So she only paid me 250 bells for it.
I ran into Puck, and he asked if he could have my Merlion. I told him yes, and he gave me an ornate wall in exchange.
I later saw Tom, who took notice of a mini squelchoid I dug up. He offered me 3,000 bells for it. We have a deal!
I then stopped at the post office to deposit some money and mail some fossils away. On the way home, I picked up two pads of paper from the dump.
