Octavian!

It was storming in Forest today. I checked my mail and got a goodbye letter from Chuck.

Chuck's goodbye letter.I stopped at Nook’s to order a couple items for my house. Nearby, I found the glowing spot and I was lucky enough to get 10,000 bells from it today!

Check it out! I dug up 10,000 bells! After talking to Static, I got bit by a mosquito.

Yow! I got bit by a mosquito!I then saw the house of my new neighbor. It’s Octavian the octopus!

Octavian: I'm Octavian. You got a problem with that?I continued making my way around town, pulling weeds and talking to animals. I stopped to catch a drone beetle, and Baabara stood there applauding me.

I caught a drone beetle! I wonder where the queen is.I made my way around to Emerald’s house, and she offered to buy my drone beetle for 1,120 bells. It’s a deal!

Emerald: Would you sell it to me for 1,120 bells? Please? When I was done, I stopped by the post office to deposit some bells into my account and to mail some fossils away to the Farway Museum to be identified. I then returned home to take a look at my house. I still have some items that need to be put into storage. So I’ll need to make a trip to the island sometime soon to stash them in there.

Meteor Shower

Tonight was the meteor shower, which I was reminded of as soon as I started up my game.

Good evening. The summer meteor shower reaches its peak tonight! After stopping at Nook’s, I made my way to the lake. Hank, Robin, Maple, and Emerald were there to watch the meteor shower.

Hank, Robin, and I watch the shooting stars.Of course, Tortimer was there as well.

Tortimer: I love shooting stars.. Huh? No! Not shooting AT them! Don't confuse me!I watched them for a while and enjoyed the peaceful music that plays at the lake.

Watching shooting stars from the pier.Emerald: The meteors look wonderful.

Camping with Quetzal

I got a goodbye letter in the mail; Wolfgang has moved out of town.

Wolfgang's goodbye letter.I didn’t play last week, so I had a lot of weeds to pull. And of course I talked to some of my neighbors.

Static: I haven't seen you for a long time, so I figured I'd play a little trick on you.And I met my new neighbor, Chuck.

Chuck: Who are you? Jeff? Are you sure about that?A tent was in the same acre as Chuck’s house. Quetzal is the camper for this weekend.

Quetzal: Welcome to my tent, the home base of the ultimate camping experience.I played his games for a long time. I ended up using all the items I had left on the ground from Sue E’s tent three weeks ago. There weren’t any furniture items in the dump, so I took some items out of my house. I actually took out some other summer camper items that I didn’t need to keep any more. I then returned to Quetzal’s tent to try his games a few more times before I gave up for the night. But something unexpected happened…I actually got the item I’ve been trying for! YES!

I returned to my house to put the item in my upstairs room. That room is now complete and ready for my 2012 house tour video. But I still need to work on my main floor. The good news is that I don’t need any rare items for what I’m doing there; I just need to order a few things. So I’ll most likely start working on that next weekend. But it’s a big relief to not have to deal with the summer campers any more.
