Rainy Sunday

It was raining again in Forest today. I went to Nook’s and bought a satellite.

Timmy: Does a satellite interest you?I talked to Tom and he told me that he always looks forward to the fishing tournaments in June.

Tom: Every year I spend each Sunday in June fishing from morning 'til night!I also talked to Copper, as Tom was blatantly eavesdropping in the background. Copper told me Wendell would be in town tomorrow.

Copper: You ask about goings-on?I stopped by the post office and the dump on my way home. I noticed that at some point, someone must have painted my roof white. I don’t even remember when it happened, but it doesn’t look good. I’ll have to remember to buy some paint for it next time.

My house with a white roof.

Catching a Coelacanth

It was raining in Forest as I started up the game. I checked my mail; one letter was advertising a stunning dirt model for sale at Nookington’s.

Letter: We have a special offer today on a stunning dirt model.Another letter informed me that Alli has left town.

Alli's goodbye letter. So I went to go meet Alli’s replacement Robin, who lives in acre B-1.

Robin: Good evening to you. Do I know you, la-di-da?I then went into Nookington’s to take a look at that dirt model. Wow, how stunning. I’m surprised Nook didn’t say that toilet was stunning too.

A dirt model and a toilet on sale at Nookington's.Back outside, I talked to Tutu. She wanted me to help her get through the maze in the back of her Nintendo Power magazine. I hate these things.

Tutu: OK, let's keep going! Right or left?I went looking for a coelacanth, and after a couple minutes, I found one!

Would you look at that! After that, I stopped by the post office to mail a fossil away (and to deposit some bells). I also ran by the dump and then headed for home.

Mother’s Day

Today is Mother’s Day and I got a letter from home:

Mom: I'm always joyous on Mother's Day, regardless of whether you give me flowers or worms!Tortimer was at the wishing well talking about mothers. If this is your first Mother’s Day talking to him there, he will give you a lovely phone. Of course, it wasn’t my first time, so I didn’t get anything from him.

Tortimer: Mothers care for and protect us. They heal our boo-boos.Tortimer: I love my mommy!Ursala asked me to name the animals of the Chinese zodiac in order. I correctly guessed that rat was the first one, but I got the second one wrong. I don’t remember ever seeing this text before.

Ursala: Which one comes first?I talked to Static, and he was talking about Katrina the fortune teller.

Static: I got a reading from Katrina once. It made me feel strange.I talked to Kody, and he told me he can still see the cherry blossoms. He says they’re burned into his memory. Okaaaaaaayyyyy….

Kody: The vision of cherry blossoms is burned into my memory forever! It was raining, so I thought I’d do some fishing to look for coelacanths. I didn’t find any, but I did catch six red snappers and a barred knifejaw.
