I started up the game and it was raining heavily in Forest. I changed into the racer shirt that I got in a grab bag way back on Sale Day. I talked to Candi and she gave me a peach (a foreign fruit).

I went into Nookington’s and saw they had a space shuttle (R.I.P.) for sale. I bought one for my house.

I talked to Belle and she said she wants to sleep all day, probably because the weather is so nice. Uhhhhh….

Hank was talking about how Saharah travels from town to town by walking everywhere. He then started talking about how fit she must be and how he wants to meet her. I guess he likes a shapely camel. I got out of there because I was afraid he was going to start singing My Humps before long.

I went fishing for a few minutes and I caught six red snappers. Not bad.

I then went to sell my fish, deposit some money in the bank, and mail a letter. After that, I headed for home.

I started up the game today and got a goodbye letter from Eloise the elephant.

I also got a letter from “Mom,” who sent me an apple. This is one of the ways I originally got all the foreign fruits in my town. “Mom” will send them to you sometimes, and you can also occasionally get them from villagers. True, you can also take the train to another town to get foreign fruit, but I think I got all the fruits from Mom and villagers before I ever even used the train.

Near the bottom of the waterfall, I saw a house and Yuka was standing next to it. I was confused. “Yuka doesn’t live here,” I thought. And then it dawned on me. Yuka moved out of Forest five years ago. Yuka was one of the first villagers I had, and I had disliked her for years. I had her from late 2002 until early 2007, I believe. I was so glad when she finally moved out…but now she’s back!

And no, she didn’t remember me–this is not the Yuka from my Ohio town, this is a different one. So that also means I currently have Yuka in both of my GameCube towns, and in my Wii town as well!

Now she lives in acre D-4, south of where she lived B4 before, when she lived in B-4, next to Candi.

Later on, I talked to Hank and he asked me for a new catchphrase. Unlike in City Folk, it’s fairly rare for them to ask for new catchphrases in this game. I was going to have him say “bad rooster,” but it didn’t fit. So I just went with “rooster.”

I sold some fossils and furniture at Nook’s, mailed away some new fossils (and deposited money into the bank) at the post office, checked the dump (nothing good), and then headed for home.

The other day I ordered a flowery painting, which I was going to send to this guy Jose. It arrived today, so I took it to Tom Nook’s store and used the trading option to get a code for the item.

I talked to Puck, and he told me about how he was chasing butterflies so much that it made him dizzy.

I went around town, pulling weeds and digging up items. I dug up a cabin bookcase, a couple of fossils, and then this…another flowery painting!

I wish I had found that before I went and ordered that one for Jose the other day! Doh! Anyway, I went to the wishing well to check my town status–hooray, it’s still perfect. I attached the two fossils I had to letters, but it required my last two sheets of paper. I don’t like buying paper unless I have to, so I checked the lost & found at the police station. Fortunately, they had some sunset paper in there.

I talked to Kody, who asked me if he could have my cabin bookcase. I told him yes, and he was thrilled. Despite originally saying he had nothing to give me in exchange (liar!), he gave me a satellite. I’m not sure how Kody got ahold of a satellite, but I just accepted the item and moved along.

I then went to the post office to deposit some money and mail my two fossils away to be identified. On my way back, I stopped by the dump and picked up the two furniture items there. I didn’t even check to see what they were; I’ll just sell them next time if they’re not something I want to keep. But I then headed for home and saved my game.
