Tortimer’s Vacation

It was snowing today in Forest. Even Puck the penguin seemed to be tired of the snow!

Puck: The snow's relentless, huh? I think it's trying to snow us in.When I went by the wishing well, Tortimer was there to ask me a favor. He’s going on vacation tomorrow and he wants me to turn the lighthouse on every night from tomorrow until the 26th.

Tortimer: I'm going to be taking an official vacation to this tropical island tomorrow. If you’d like to see a video showing the process of turning the lighthouse on, check this out: Animal Crossing – Inside the Lighthouse. So I’ll have to remember to turn it on every night for the next week.

I later saw an igloo and went inside. Purrl was inside and she really liked the look of my mini dinkoid.

Purrl: Oh hey, Jeff. That's a really nice-looking mini dinkoid you've got there. We played a game to determine the price she would pay me for it. I lost the game, so she only paid me 490 bells for it. By next Saturday, there will be no more igloos around; the snow will be completely gone as of February 25th.

I did my usual things: Picked weeds, checked my town status, dug up gyroids/fossils, mailed some fossils, checked the dump, etc. and then headed for home. But Kody was right outside my house, creeping around. I talked to him, and as I did, I noticed something: The flowers have no stems!

Kody: But they're all so tiny!

Valentine’s Day

Today was Valentine’s Day, so my mailbox was filled with Valentines (along with gifts attached) from all my female animals.

Valentine from Baabara.Valentine from Belle.Valentine from Emerald.Tutu sent me a No. 1 shirt, Baabara sent me a green tie-dye, Belle sent me a No. 67 shirt, Purrl sent me a U R here shirt, Maple sent me a spade shirt, Candi sent me a cream sofa, Emerald sent me a kiddie couch, and Sydney sent me a crewel shirt. I put on the crewel shirt and saved the green tie-dye; everything else got sold at Nookington’s. I then went around and talked to some of my neighbors.

Tom: This is the coldest month of the year, I bet!I then went inside Baabara’s igloo. I played her game and I ended up having to buy her cabana wall for 3,000 bells.

Baabara: Sucker!

Washing Gracie’s Car

I remembered that Gracie would be in town today, so I started up the game and found her. Of course she wanted me to wash her car, so I did.

Scrubbing Gracie's car. When I was done, it was all nice, shiny, and spotless. She gave me a swell shirt as a reward. Unfortunately, that was not one of the shirts I needed for my catalog checklist. This picture shows what the shirt looks like, and it also shows how dangerously close to the river Gracie parked her car. It’s wedged in between a small tree and the river…it’s practically hanging off the edge. 😛

Who parks a car like this?Anyway, I continued walking around town. I pulled some weeds, dug up some fossils, and talked to some animals. I stopped in the post office to mail some letters and deposit some money into my bank account. I went into Static’s igloo and played a game with him. He ended up buying my wagon wheel for 1,440 bells.

Static: Well, you did get your first guess right, so I'll give you 1,440 bells. After that, I headed for home. I noticed I still had my Christmas tree up (oops), so I took that down and then saved my game.
