I started up the game tonight and immediately noticed a problem. Flowers were missing. Others were wilted. But it rained in the city yesterday, and I returned by bus, so what was the problem??
Yesterday, when I got to the city it wasn’t raining. But almost immediately, the clock struck the top of the hour and it started raining. So I thought great, that’s all I need, and went back to town. I’m thinking maybe it has to be raining when you enter the city from somewhere (either when you get off the bus or when you come out of a building in the city). So anyone who uses the city rain to water your flowers, take note. If it’s not raining when you get to the city, then starts raining, enter and exit a store there to make sure you get credit for the rain. (Of course, then you have to take the bus back to town as well).
The good news is that I didn’t lose any black or blue roses, since I water them every day. That means they were watered Wednesday, so even without yesterday’s rain, they would be wilted at worst. I did lose 10-20 red roses and several purple roses though, and probably some other flowers as well. So it’s still a setback, but it wasn’t disastrous.
Anyway, I opened my gate at 10:00. ToonZelda came in, bringing Katie, which triggered the mother/daughter cat reunion scene.
As soon as that was over, Mike also showed up. Out of the blue, he released a birdwing. It turns out, he was trying to show it off, but clicked “release” by mistake. 😀
I watered my flowers as I worked my way around town. When I got to my house, I got my mail. Bob sent me a letter, thanking me for making the delivery yesterday. He sent me 500 bells. Oh joy.
Anyway, the three of us just hung out and did some fishing. Nobody else joined in, so my town didn’t fill up tonight. I think that’s the first time in over a month that it didn’t reach maximum capacity.
By 11:15 or so, everyone had left. I kept my gate open in case any of the late night crew (such as Jorge or Georgie–aka the orgs) came over, but no such luck. ToonZelda did invite me to her town tomorrow night, so I’ll try to remember to do that.
I’ll end today’s entry with a few pictures I took tonight. Until next time.
