The Halloween festival started at 6:00, but before that happened, I played as my secondary character Guest. I got about 30 pieces of candy out of his storage and set it down on the ground so my main character could get it. Switching back to Jeff, I dug holes to trap my villagers that were outside, so I was all set for Halloween.
I opened my gate around 7:00. TZ and Bradley came in. I quickly discovered that I was wrong about how Halloween worked. On Thanksgiving and Christmas Eve, everyone can work together to find Franklin or Jingle and then everyone can get a piece of the furniture before the character re-spawns somewhere else. But Halloween is different.
Jack disappears as soon as one person finds him and gets an item. So you’re not working with the human visitors in your town, you’re competing against them to find Jack. This makes it more difficult to rack up lots of furniture. But still, at 10,310 bells a pop, it’s worth the effort.
A little before 8:00, TZ left. Bradley and I continued to look for Jack. Bradley’s pockets filled up after a while, so Bradley left for a bit to take some items home. Around 8:35 or so, I got a big surprise…Ash came in! I hadn’t played with Ash in probably a year and a half, so it was great to see her again. Bradley came back in soon after that. Ash had missed some of the golden DLCs, so I let her catalog them all.
Soon, Maria also came in, so I had a full house. I had not seen Maria in a long time either (though not as long as Ash had been gone). I believe I last saw Maria at New Year’s. The four of us continued to hunt for Jack. I helped Bradley and Maria get the pieces they needed.
The times I ran low on candy, I would go into an animal’s house to trick-or-treat for more. Most of the time, this happened to be Bill’s house for whatever reason. I told everyone he must be my sugar daddy tonight. 😀
At one point, Ash commented that I still had Peaches in my town. This was funny to me because Peaches moved out about two years ago and just recently moved back in. xD
Around 9:35, shortly after finishing the full set, Bradley left.
By 11:00, I was about finished. That was my longest play session in a very long time, but it was a lot of fun. I sold all my remaining furniture and I netted a total of 339,970 bells on the night.
I’m going to give most of that money to Scott, so he can expand his house and get a basement. I have plans for that house, and I needed this money to move things along. I said my goodnights and ended the party.
But before I ended my game, I took off my space helmet, talked to an animal (Anchovy), and when he asked for candy, I gave him a seashell instead. I did it on purpose because I wanted an extra pumpkin head, and he angrily obliged.
