Visiting the Museum

It was snowing in Forest today, so I didn’t need to water my flowers. I went into the museum to identify some fossils and this is what Blathers said to me. I think he’s trying to tell me I have a big head:

Blathers: What you have here is a mammoth skull! Hoo! Indeed, WOO hoo! Then I went down to The Roost and saw Puddles enjoying some coffee…and asking why Brewster is always polishing the cups.

Puddles: Look at how Brewster is always polishing the cups...I talked to Peaches and she asked me if she should move out of Forest. But I wasn’t sure how to answer. I almost told her to go ahead, but then I decided to ask her to stay. She moved in from Ash’s town, so I wouldn’t mind keeping her. She’s also a link to Forest’s past, since she was a neighbor I had back in 2009.

I’ve been turning some of my black roses into gold roses lately and I needed a new out-of-the-way place to put them. So I started putting some atop the cliff near the southwest ramp.

A bunch of gold roses near the cliff.

Wi-Fi Night

Now that the holidays are over, I was back to my usual Wi-Fi night, or Friday Night Forest as I like to call it. I opened my gate about 10:10. Bradley, Yann, and T. Zelda (TZ) quickly came in and filled up the town. TZ dropped some gifts she brought me…I said I would take the fireworks, but I didn’t want the other things.

I went around watering my flowers as everyone talked about the villagers that have come and gone in their towns lately. They went to see my house. I warned them that my house was very messy. I hadn’t cleaned up since before New Year’s, and I had a lot of random items (including many party poppers) lying around. But my warning didn’t stop Bradley and TZ from complaining about the mess. 😛

I went ahead and straightened it up a little while they went to visit Kid Cat. I was mostly done and they came back in.

TZ, after seeing two Moai statues in my room: Doubles XD. Jeff: 2 heads are better than 1.Bradley decided to be a security guard and keep the animals from entering my house (even though they can’t really do that anyway–except on flea market days). She threatened to kill and chop up Ruby. I suggested turning Ruby into Ruby Red (grapefruit) juice. And from there, we started making food-related puns with the names of my villagers.

Jeff: Ruby celery stalking me. Yann: Del-i sandwich.Jeff: Peaches & cream. T Zelda: Yuka Yogart.I said Ruby was celery stalking me; here is a list of the the other food names we came up with:

Me: Mint’s chocolate chips, Peaches & cream, Ruby Tuesday.
Yann: Del-i sandwich, Poppy corn.
TZ: Junior Mints, Kid Cat bars, Yuka yogurt.

After we went back outside, I was away on BRB for a couple minutes. They started pushing me around, and when I got back, TZ fell into a pitfall. Presumably, it was meant for me.

T Zelda: T_T fail again. After a little while, TZ left. Unfortunately, she left a music room wall on the ground…litterbug. Interesting that I get insulted for having a messy house, yet people plop down items in my town and just leave them. Hmmm… 😛

Anyway, Bradley also left pretty soon after that. I talked to Kid Cat and he told me he wanted a pill bug. After briefly panicking after thinking I didn’t have my golden net (which was in my pockets all along, haha), I caught a pill bug and gave it to Kid Cat. He gave me a modern tile in return.

Kid Cat: Yesss! A pill bug! HIGH FIVE, dawg!Yann and I then went into my house for a while.

Jeff: It's the Catue of Liberty. We also visited some animals before I ended the party for the night.

Del: I know how it sounds, but you should just trust me and try it yourself, underwear!Poppy looks on as Yann and Jeff play in her bed.

Mo Moai

Today, I went to see Gulliver on the beach.

Gulliver: Oh, how rude of me! Space child, please accept this gift from beyond the stars for your kind help.He gave me another Moai statue, which is the Easter Island head. I’m not happy that I got a duplicate item, but at least it’s an item that looks good in pairs.

Two Moai statues in my golden room. For my own reference, this is my 11th time getting an item from Gulliver (and the first in 2012, naturally). I noticed that there was snow on Gulliver’s UFO. This was also my first time shooting him down in winter, so I never saw the snow on his ship before.

Gulliver's crash-landed spaceship (UFO).As I left Nook’s today, he again asked me what I value in a store. I remembered that I blogged about it last time, and I was going to see how long it was between times that he asks. Everyone on the internet seems to say one month or 30 days, but I didn’t think it was that often.

That blog entry was from November 26, which made for a difference of 38 days, or 5 and a half weeks. So I was right about it being longer than 30 days, but not by a large margin. I suppose it’s possible that the amount of time varies, but I don’t know. Maybe I’ll revisit this issue the next time Nook asks.

Tom Nook: For example, Jeff... What do you look for in a store, hm?
