Ruby the rabbit moved out today. This was her goodbye letter:
Pascal was in town today. I didn’t have a scallop to give him, but I talked to him anyway, just to see him dive into the river. I think he’s practicing for the London Olympics.

Today is Festivale!
At 8:00, I opened my gate and Yann came in. About 20 minutes later, Olivia also joined in.
If you don’t know how Festivale works, I’ll explain the basics. That peacock in the picture above is Pavé. He will ask for a certain color of candy: It can be red, green, blue, or yellow. You then have to find the outdoor animals in your town and play games with them.
Tonight, my outdoor animals were Mint, Yuka, Del, Egbert, and Poppy. The games are games of luck, such as rock, paper, scissors.
Another game has you playing soccer (verbally) by choosing left or right in an attempt to block a shot on goal.
If you win a game, you earn a piece of candy. Sometimes you can choose which color you want, but usually you don’t have a choice. If you lose, the animal will take a piece of candy (or 500 bells if you don’t have candy).
When you have three pieces of the color that Pavé wants, you take them to him and he will exchange them for a piece of Pavé furniture. He will then ask for a different color candy and the process repeats. To be honest, Festivale is quite annoying and it’s my least favorite of the five main holidays in City Folk.
While we were playing, we also noticed the Northern Lights in Forest. (They were dim in this picture, but got brighter later on).
I stayed on until about 9:35 and then closed my gate and ended my game. In all, I earned 63,500 bells from Festivale. Here are the rest of the pictures I took tonight.
It was snowing in Forest today, for the third day in a row. Nice. Nook posted on the bulletin board about a special item, an IV drop! Oooh, how exciting!
The sad part is that I actually bought it. Hey, I needed it for my catalog checklist. 😛
While walking around, I noticed that the trees look a little greener.
In six more days, the snow will be completely gone. I then took a bus to the city to check out the new emotions at the theater. There were no Frillard emotions, so I showed my disinterest in the available options.
Back in town, I continued checking for new hybrids; I had one new black rose today.
Before I ended my game, I remembered that I should talk to Ruby to continue to try to talk her out of moving. But what I saw in her house shocked me!
I’m too late! She packed up all her belongings into boxes! She didn’t give me much notice (or time) to try to change her mind. This is disappointing.
Update: Just wanted to add that my former villager Puddles moved to Olivia’s town Anville.
