Chessboard Rug

Saharah was in town looking for old carpet again. So I went around, asking my neighbors if they had any old carpets to give me.

Egbert: Oh, old carpets! I just went and traded mine for a sweet new one!Mint was the only one who had a carpet for me. But fortunately, I had two in storage; I took all three to Saharah.

Saharah: If you bring me three, then I shall give you a very special thing! She gave me another chessboard rug. But I don’t mind, because I had promised the last one to Ash, so I will keep this one.

A chessboard rug in my house.I still have yet to receive the lunar surface from Saharah, though. It almost seems as if the game knows the items you want most and keeps them from you for years, just like Gulliver with the Metroid.

A Trip to the City

I again went to the Happy Room Academy and again, they had a new model room.

A Japanese-themed model room at the HRA.This time, it was indeed Bushido’s room.

Lyle: This month's winner? Kid from Toshi. Name's Bushido. Ya see him? Tell him congrats. While in the city, I saw Poppy wearing a Yoshi shirt. When an animal in the city is wearing a pattern, it’s a dead giveaway that he or she has recently moved out of someone’s town. Usually it will be a friend’s town, but this time it turned out to be a friend of a friend. Poppy came from Elliot’s town. Elliot is a friend of Yann.

Poppy: I just don't get it. Why would you come all this way just to sit in a dark theater, nutty?I then returned to Forest and talked to some animals, including Anabelle.

Anabelle: The road to ladyhood is a long and bumpy one, nasal drip...
Just like your nose.

And Rowan told me he wanted to move out of town.

Rowan: I've talked it over with myself, and I decided to bail and move out of town. But I told him not to leave, and he agreed to stay. So I may not be getting that Poppy from the city.

I made two trips around my town looking for Pete and I didn’t see him. I thought maybe I would finally have another UFO visit. But just when I was about to call off my search, I saw Pete. Ugh.

Pete: Does it really matter though? After all, I'd be the delivery person either way!

Talking to the Animals

Today, Victoria (rudely) told me that she’s going to move out of town.

Victoria: I'm moving, peasant!I told her not to go, but she said she was going to move out anyway. But then she softened a bit, saying she was glad I wanted her to stay and that if I keep being nice to her, she might change her mind. So I’ll have to keep talking to her in the coming days.

Making my way around town, I talked to a number of animals in town, including Egbert.

Egbert: A smack of ham. It's the perfect weather for chillin' outside!I also said hello to Sable.

Sable: It's always so good to see you, Jeff! And I completed my circle around town by talking to Del. He always has some insightful words.

Del: It doesn't smell REAL good, like a girl's room or something, but take a sniff. Not stinky either, right?
