Today, Victoria asked me to play a game of hide-and-seek. She gave me ten minutes to find her, Avery, and Mint.
I found Victoria and Avery hiding behind trees.
Mint had a better hiding spot: Behind the bulletin board. Good thing she peeked around the corner or I might still be looking for her.
I found them all in time, and Victoria gave me a cabin armchair as my reward.
I went into Nook’s to sell some things (including that cabin armchair), and when I came out, a tarantula ambushed me! He was just waiting for me and pounced before I could do anything.
Later on, I opened my gate at 10:00. Megan and Patty came over. Patty had not been to my town in a long time. Megan bought a bandage from the Able Sisters, and I tried it on as I told them about how I was viciously attacked earlier.
Patty was fishing and Megan started typing GO GO GO. But for Megan’s poor abused keyboard, this was only the beginning of a tough night.
Patty ended up leaving around 11:00. Megan accidentally “ate” (picked up) some path tiles. I asked her what they tasted like, expecting her to say cinnamon since that’s the flavor we had previously said they taste like. But she said they tasted like dirt and shoes.
We were catching bugs and fish, of course…but we were also acting a little crazy.
Nook had a tiki torch burning in his store, which I interpreted as Del trying to burn down Nook’s store because he was jealous of Yann and Nook’s baby teddy bear/Nooklet. (I don’t expect that to make sense to many of you, but it’s based on a chain of inside jokes we have, haha).
I tried voting Megan off of Survivor so Jeff Probst the host would put out her fire, but that didn’t work. So I ate the fire (by buying the torch) and then demanded some heartburn medicine from Nook for saving his store.
I had three people message me saying that they were trying to get into my town but couldn’t. Chris, Olivia, and Ben all said they were getting error messages when they tried to come in. I was willing to try some things to see what the problem is in case it was my connection or Megan’s connection, but they apparently weren’t online any more. So after a brief break, Megan and I just continued playing.
Megan mentioned that she needed saplings for her town, and I let her know that she could create trees by just burying 100 bell bags. I made a sample one to show her.
Once 1:00 rolled around, we went into Nook’s before he closed shop for the night. I sold my bugs and I ended up with over 188,000 bells tonight. That doesn’t include the additional bugs I caught later on.
We did the Nook door glitch and I was stuck in the door for a bit, even though my smile seemed to protrude through the glass. To my surprise, Megan didn’t hold me hostage for too long. After catching some more bugs and fish, we posed with some of our best catches.
Megan dropped 100 bells at one point and I swiped it and buried it to make another tree. I tried to do it again, but she kept filling in my hole before I could bury the coins. So I psyched her out by going inside Scott’s house, running upstairs, then running back outside. That bought me the time I needed to plant the tree.
Then Megan decided to be my gardener and plant a bunch more trees on the beach there. Of course they’re going to be mostly dead by tomorrow, but oh well.
“Crazy” doesn’t begin to describe the conversations and keyboard mashing sessions we had tonight (Spidersib?). 😀 But it was a whole lot of fun. At 2:00, I closed my gate for the night.
