My house is right next to town hall, so as soon as I came out of my house, I saw Tortimer.
He was handing out a wheat bundle for the “autumn moon,” which is really the harvest moon. This is what the wheat bundle looks like:
With today being Sunday, I headed to the theater in the city to check the new emotions for the week.
Back in Forest, Anabelle reminded me about the autumn moon tonight.
Avery told me a rumor he heard about Yann from Dotty over in Tropical.
Del again wanted to move out. Fortunately, I was able to talk him out of it.
Bob then asked me to catch a pale chub for him. It was too late in the day for them though, but I did a little fishing anyway. I caught several salmon.
Later that evening, I started up the game again to check out the autumn moon.
It’s not really anything special. It’s a shame it isn’t a real festival where the animals gather together to watch it, like they do on GameCube.
After watering my flowers, I opened my gate around 10:00. Yann, Jorge, and Megan came over to visit. At one point, we were all doing the shock emotion. I tried to take a picture of us all in shock, but I couldn’t manage to get more than two of us doing it at the same time.
A little later, Yann and I were at the top of the cliff and Jorge and Megan were down below. Here I was trying to hit Jorge with my net.
While in Nook’s, Jorge pointed out that I had a lot of birds in my town. In fact, four of my ten animals are birds, even if they are all different species.
While in my house, Yann mentioned VC (the Virtual Console for Wii). Megan asked what VC stood for, so after the real answer was explained, we all started making up possible acronyms for VC.
Jorge left my house before everyone else. When he does that, he’s usually planting pitfall seeds to try to trap the rest of us. He even buried a shell as a decoy to distract from the real pitfall seed.
Jorge ended up pitfalling Yann several times. He also got me once later on.
Everyone was talking about food (and sushi) a lot tonight. I followed Megan into Rowan’s house and eventually trapped her in the corner for a while.
Later on, we hung out in front of Nook’s twirling our umbrellas.
We eventually got disconnected, but it was late, so I didn’t reopen my gate.
It’s Wednesday, so I headed to Crazy Redd’s shop to check out his new items. He had a froggy chair, a flowery painting, and a sandbag.
While watering my flowers, I saw Wendell walking around.
I ran into Avery near the Able Sisters, and he asked me to make a delivery to Iggly.
Iggly was standing near his house. I gave him the present; it was a steel flooring and he loved it. As a side note, this picture is the 3,000th picture I’ve saved:
I quickly went back to where Avery was, but he was nowhere to be found. I had to search my town for 5-10 minutes before I found him. My pockets were full though, so he said he would mail my reward to me.
At 8:00, Megan invited me over to her town May West. It has been a long time since anyone has invited me to their town (aside from quick Katie drop-offs), so it was nice to play in someone else’s town for a change. Yann was also invited, as was Ness–but Ness was having Wi-Fi trouble and was unable to come. I went to say hello to Savannah.
I saw she again has a second bed in her house, so I asked her if I could move in. To my surprise, she actually seemed to agree, saying her house was my house.
We went into Nook’s and I tried to buy green paint for Megan’s house. Of course, Nook wouldn’t allow it. He was even rude about it, telling me he wasn’t going to walk to Forest and he told me not to ask about it again.
While Megan went away, I posted a message on her bulletin board.
Megan created another character named Guest (just like my second character). Guest has a warm, cozy room that I liked a lot. But I think my favorite room in May West was Megan’s cool music room with lots of instruments. It’s a fun place to hang out.
Megan then introduced us to a game she has been working on for a long time. Two competitors (me and Yann in this case) dig through a bunch of buried items to find three seashells (each of a different kind). Most of the items buried are gyroids, which you must re-bury before you can dig up another item.
One at a time, you must run the seashells to another area where you have to go through a minefield (filled with pitfall seeds) to put the seashell in a specially marked spot. The first person with all three shells in place wins the game. After explaining the rules, Yann and I played the game and I won.
I got to pick a prize, and it was a fire hydrant.
Yann and I changed positions and played again; I was blue for the first game and then red for the second game. Megan watched us as we fell in the pitfalls (surely she was laughing at our distress).
I again won the second game. Since setting up the game requires so much work, I suggested she just reset the game so that everything is back in place. We found out that the contents of presents are decided when you open the present, not when the present is shot down. In other words, they contained different items after resetting than they did the first time.
Yann did some dancing in one of Megan’s rooms, so Megan and I joined in.
We decided to have a fishing competition (with sunglasses on), and we took a picture showing off our cool fish-catching shades.
It must have been my lucky night, because I won this game as well.
After selling our catches (I caught a hammerhead shark), I asked Megan to save the game. After she did, I found myself in an unexpected place.
I was back at the gate, but it was my gate. She accidentally ended the party instead of saving the game. 😀 I returned to her town for a little while longer, but soon left for the night. I had a good time. 🙂
UPDATE: Here is a video of us playing Megan’s shell game.
