I started up the game and noticed that once again, for about the 8 millionth day in a row, it wasn’t raining. So I had to again water my flowers. It’s a shame I can’t take one day off from watering my flowers without risking a bunch of my hybrids.
It’s as if Nintendo went out of their way to make maintaining your town as big a pain as they could. Pulling weeds every day? Nah, not evil enough. Let’s make them water flowers and punish them if they dare skip a day! Muhahaha!
Maybe if they want to add more length to their games, they should try adding more features instead of going about it the cheap way and turning everything into an annoying chore. If anything ever kills my interest in Animal Crossing, it’ll be tedious nonsense like this. Of course if the grass didn’t wear away and turn towns into deserts, I never would have had to deal with flowers in the first place.
I then went to the city to check emotions. Once again, no Frillard emotions.
For the past 161 weeks, I’ve been trying to acquire every emotion at least once. That’s over three years, and there still two emotions that have not shown up in all that time. The rates at which rare things show up in this game is ridiculous.
I then went to identify some fossils. I had five altogether; three I found today plus two I had in my pockets from yesterday. And one at a time, I had to hand it to Blathers, and scroll through his annoying speeches. Then I had to hand him the next one, and so on.
Why can’t Blathers identify more than one at a time? Better yet, why can’t my character automatically know what they are? He can automatically tell a classic wardrobe from a classic dresser, so why can’t he tell the difference between a piece of amber and a T-rex skull?
Animal Crossing is a fun game at its core, but the tedious, useless tasks you’re forced to perform make you wonder why you even put up with it.
