Coffee with Kapp’n

I took the bus to the city and saw Tom there. He was talking about a guy from Forest that he saw getting his hair done. That would have been Scott. When I recently took a picture of Scott’s Gulliver room, Scott had bedhead. So I went and had his hair done so it looked better for the picture. So apparently the animals do reference things that actually happened. I had previously assumed it was just random things when they mentioned another human character.

Tom: Don't just stand there thinking of your hair, creep! And with it being Sunday, I checked the new emotions. You know I’ve been trying to get all of the emotions at one point or another for over three years, and there are still two I haven’t seen yet. Despite checking every single week.

Clerk: What show would you like to see today? As I boarded the bus, I noticed three horses there in the city. I believe they were Winnie, Peaches, and the yellow one was apparently Clyde.

Three horses in the city as I board the bus back home.Back in Forest, I watered my flowers and talked to a few animals. Egbert was talking about the city and how things are so expensive there.

Egbert: Maaan... Everything is so expensive in the city.Rowan suggested Forest should have a festival for playing the theremin. The what now?

Rowan: Like...a HUGE festival for playing the theremin! Wouldn't that be wicked?I decided to end my day with a cup of coffee. To my surprise, Kapp’n was in The Roost! I don’t recalling seeing him in there before.

Kapp'n: Back in me salad days, I'd dress meself to the nines an' go a-wooin' among them city ladies...Oddly enough, the game wouldn’t let me save most of the pictures I took of him. This seems to happen often in The Roost for some reason. Ditto for the theater, especially when Frillard is there. Oh well. At least I got two pictures to prove Kappn’s was in The Roost today! 😛

Saving Del

I got a letter from Egbert today, thanking me for making his delivery yesterday. He also sent me 500 bells.

To Jeff, Thanks for delivering that thingamabob for me the other day! This gift is my way of saying thanks! -Your old pal, EgbertRowan was outside my house, and he said he looked through my windows and saw stairs leading down. So he figured out that I have a basement (what a genius he is). He then asked what I do down there. Simple. It’s where I torture nosy tigers.

Rowan: ...Whoa. It must be a basement! HOLD UP! What kind of crazy stuff are you up to down there?I went next door to Del’s house and after talking to him over and over, I eventually got him to agree not to move out of town.

Del: You've convinced me, Mr. J. I'll stay on as Forest's crankiest resident a while longer.I went to the Able Sisters’ shop and shockingly, they had three shirts that I needed for my catalog! The amethyst shirt, the aqua polka shirt, and the straw shirt. Here I am wearing the amethyst shirt.

Me wearing the amethyst shirt in Able Sisters.I finished watering my flowers; I only found one new black rose today. So I saved and quit my game, but the saving took quite a long time. It usually only takes that long if it’s on Wi-Fi. But when it did eventually finish, I switched to my Scott character. I had him put the chessboard rug in his Gulliver room to jazz it up a little.

Wendell’s Memo

I started off the day by going to town hall and depositing some money into my bank account. That money pushed my balance over 16 million bells.

Your current balance is 16,020,000 bells. While I was in there, I decided to change my town tune. I’ve been watching a lot of The Twilight Zone on Netflix lately, so I thought I would use its theme as my town tune again.

Town tune notes for The Twilight Zone.Wendell was in town, but I was going to ignore him. But as I was watering flowers, he got in my way and I talked to him accidentally. I decided to see what food I could give him…the only edible thing in my pockets was a flat mushroom, so I gave him that.

Wendell: OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOH! Th-thank you! Good food!He gave me a memo pattern. It’s basically all white, but with a corner folded up. This has got to be the lamest pattern in the game.

The memo pattern from Wendell, as shown on the ground.Egbert asked me to take a package to Robin. It was a folk tunic; Robin did not like it.

Robin: Thanks for getting this to me. Please give Egbert my warmest regards, with worms.I returned to Egbert, and he thanked me. My pockets were full, so he said he would mail my reward to me.

Egbert: That kind of stinks! And here I thought it would be a great present!Later on, Del told me that he wanted to move out of Forest. I asked him to stay, but he didn’t change his mind. I’m going to have to keep working on him.

Del: Anyhow, I'm not vanishing this instant, just letting you know I'll be gone soon, landlubber.Bob had locked himself out of his house. So I went fishing for a while and eventually caught his key.

I caught a key! ...Whose key is this?I returned it to Bob. He thanked me and gave me 600 bells.

Bob: Yesssss! You found my key, on toast!
