Today I received the festive hat and jingle shirt that I ordered from Nook’s last night. So now I’m ready for the Ho-Ho-Holidays.
I was trying to talk to Bob about getting him to stay in town. But the fishing tournament was underway, so all he would talk about was fish.
After checking for new black roses (there were none), I decided to try a little fishing myself. The competition was for the largest fish, so naturally I was looking for sea bass. The first big shadow I saw was a lobster.
I wasn’t about to give Chip (the fishing tournament judge) my valuable lobster. Although a lobster is worth 2,500 bells, I was thinking it was worth even more than that.
But I was not finding any more large fish shadows. I caught a few medium-sized ones, and ended up with two football fish (also worth 2,500 bells apiece). Believe it or not, it took me 15 minutes before I caught a single sea bass. And when I took it to Chip, it still wasn’t big enough to top Avery’s 41 inch sea bass.
I didn’t want to spend the whole day searching for sea bass, so I sold my remaining fish and ended my game for the day. I’ll get you next time, Avery. Next time.
