Today was Groundhog Day, so Tortimer was at town hall, handing out Resetti models.
At 10:00, I opened my Bananas gate. Fumiko (formerly known as Maria), Jake, and Matthew (Fumiko’s friend) came over to visit. I had a small patch of land filled with landmines pitfalls. I caught three people in them! Unfortunately, one of them was me.
After a bit, we went to The Roost to watch K.K. perform a song.
After the song ended, the game got stuck on K.K.’s “You’re a real gone crowd” message. I couldn’t move; I couldn’t do anything.
Jake and Matthew were moving around, but Fumiko and I were stuck. I didn’t find out until later, but Fumiko’s batteries had died. So that solved that mystery. But it didn’t take long for another mystery. Shortly after we escaped that, Matthew left town unexpectedly, without saying goodbye or anything. It always seems a bit fishy when people do that.
A bit later, Fumiko asked if her other friend Andy could come. Since no one else had come to fill the empty spot anyway, I agreed. I added him and he came over. We said hi and everything, and within two minutes, he said he had to leave. Again, not sure what to make of that. Oh well. Several minutes after, Megan came over to visit. After a bit, we went to see K.K. perform again.
We also marveled at all of the fish in the Bananas museum. Well the fish in there are all amazingly transparent, so we marveled at the rocks and seaweed instead. What a great museum!
We hung out in my house for a while. Fumiko’s batteries kept dying all night. We figured she must have bought them from Crazy Redd.
There were lots of mole crickets out tonight. In fact, we all caught one.
We ended up pushing Tortimer to the beach to see if he would return to town hall on his own; he didn’t.
And he even started walking in circles. We think he was drunk.
We eventually started talking about Mario Kart Wii and how we all had the game. So around 12:35, we decided to all go play some Mario Kart.
