Saharah’s Western Desert

As I was finishing up watering my flowers today, I spotted Saharah.

Saharah: In my land, we call this recycling! You live here, yes? You ask others for carpets. You ask.She was looking for old carpeting. I dug some holes to trap her in place, so that I could find her again later. And then I started searching for all of my villagers to see if they had any old carpet for me. Caroline couldn’t help me, because she was locked out of her house. When I went in Avery’s house, he thanked me for the medicine I took him yesterday.

Avery: Don't tell anyone, but I almost burst into tears thinking about how nice you were. Seriously! He gave me a mugho bonsai. I talked to him again to see if he had an old carpet, and he did! In fact, he was the only one of my villagers that had one for me. But fortunately, I had two old carpets in storage. So I grabbed them and ran back to Saharah. I gave her the three old carpets and she gave me a western desert.

Saharah: Here...a western desert. Very exotic... Treasure it. It is a very rare thing.Unfortunately, it’s not a carpet I needed for my catalog/checklist. But I decided to take a look at it anyway…

The western desert carpeting on display in my house. It’s awful! As much as I think the Gulliver items are ridiculously rare in this game, I’m starting to think the Saharah items are perhaps the hardest things to collect. I’ve had Animal Crossing: City Folk for four and a half years now, and I still need seven of Saharah’s wallpapers and eleven of her carpets!

New Frog in Town

Avery was sick with a cold today.

Avery: Touch my forehead, will ya? Do I feel warm? I'd better get to bed early tonight...I drool. So I went to Nook ‘n’ Go to pick up some medicine for him. He actually didn’t want to take it at first, but then he gave in.

Avery flips as he takes some medicine.I watered my flowers and found a new house while on my walk. I went inside to meet my new neighbor; it’s Ribbot!

Ribbot: Right on! Good to meet you. This is my first day living here. They call me Ribbot. This is my second frog in town (I also have Jeremiah). But Ribbot is a bit different… He’s a robot!

You’re Only Lunch Once

Before I get to today’s happenings, I want to share this one picture from yesterday. As I was leaving the city, I noticed two lions walking around. I guess it must have been two different lions, but I mainly just saw the backs of their heads and I thought I was seeing double!

Two lions on Main Street. As for today, I opened my gate around 10:30 for Friday Night Forest. Wendy and Yann came over to visit. At one point, Yann (accidentally?) picked up a black rose and wouldn’t put it back. So I got my net out and beat her until she eventually put it back. 😀

Yann: Did I stell? Jeff: BAD THIEF!A bit later, we were all standing at the top of the cliff, looking to the right (towards Nook’s). Rowan was also looking to the right for a while, but he stopped by the time I took this picture. Then he kept staring at Yann.

Wendy, Jeff, and Yann standing at the edge of a cliff, while Rowan stares at Yann.We were in my house later, listening to K.K. Faire and playing our tooting gyroids as if they were musical instruments. ♪ Beans, beans, the musical fruit… ♫

Wendy, Jeff, and Yann, standing behind tootoids. And while I was in my attic, Wendy started talking about eating my corpse. I don’t remember how we got on that topic, haha. YOLO: You’re only lunch once.

Jeff: You're only lunch once.Later, in town hall, Phyllis wouldn’t let me into the back to the mayor’s office. I’m the mayor of Forest now (at least in New Leaf), so she should recognize that fact!

Jeff: Let me in.As the night wore on, we started (jokingly) swearing at each other, but without actually swearing.

Jeff: er! Wendy: well I never...I ended the party a little after 2:00. I had a good        ing time tonight. 😀
