Today was the day that Bob moved out of Forest. He sent me this goodbye letter:
I took the bus to the city and saw Phineas there. I was hoping he’d give me a purple balloon, to honor Bob, but he gave me a red one instead.
But I chose to honor Bob in a different way. I got a dozen purple roses out of storage and planted them where his house was. And they will remain there until another house takes that spot. Yeah, I know I’ll lose the flowers when that eventually happens, but I don’t care. R.I.P. Bob.
Saharah was in town, looking for old carpet. So I trapped her on the edge of a cliff (so I could easily find her later) and began asking my remaining villagers if they had any. I couldn’t ask Blaire though, because she was sick. So I bought her some medicine.
When I circled back around, I saw something I did not expect to see. Saharah was free from the trap, but Octavian was now in it! All without the holes ever disappearing!
Wow, that’s quite a magic trick illusion! I guess the moral of the story is that if you want an animal to remain trapped, don’t use a cliff as one of the boundaries. That was pretty funny, though. I’m sure Octavian was just thinking “How did I get here?”
Anyway, three of my villagers had old carpeting for me: Octavian, Avery, and Melba.
I then returned to Saharah (who fortunately didn’t wander off very far), and gave her the three carpets. In exchange, she gave me a classroom floor. It is an item I needed, so I was able to mark if off of my checklist.
