Letting Clyde Go

On Monday, Clyde informed me that he was leaving town. I thought about it (for about two seconds), and I decided to let him go.

Clyde: Y'know, Bro-J, I've been thinking of moving out of Forest.

Over by the museum, a balloon present did me a favor by blocking my view of Tabby! What a thoughtful balloon present! Thank you, balloon present!

A purple balloon present floats by.

Still…it was a balloon present, so I shot it down. An office desk was inside. It’s too bad that the desk didn’t fall on Tabby, but that’s okay. I made sure Tabby still had a mishap. 😉

Tabby, in a pitfall: LIKE, NOOOOOOOOOOO!
I had nothing to do with it. At least, that’s what I’m going to tell Copper and Booker. 😉

I took advantage of the summer nights while they’re here, and I went bug-catching and fishing. I caught about 120,000 bells worth.

I played again tonight, and Static had a good suggestion: He wanted to plant some ugly rumors about Tabby. Sounds like a plan!

Static: I wonder if now's the time to plant some ugly rumors about Tabby and watch the fun?

He asked me to catch a sweetfish for him, so I kept my eyes open for one as I fished. Eventually, I caught one and took it back to Static. He rewarded me with 752 bells.

Static: Fine work, J-boo. Fine indeed. Take 752 bells for the effort, buzz off!

Opal asked me for an octopus, and I caught that for her as well. She also rewarded me with 752 bells. This must be the new bell trend, replacing my recent rewards of 528 bells.

Tonight’s fishing and bug-catching netted me an additional 100,000 bells.

Tabby’s Tongue-Twister

Remember how Static talked Midge into wanting a pet mosquito? He’s been up to it again. This time, he got Midge wanting a tarantula!

Midge: I was talking to Static, and we decided it was a great idea for me to get a pet tarantula!

While visiting the city on Monday, I noticed that there were four squirrels there! Was GracieGrace handing out free nuts or something?

Four squirrels in the city.

Last night, I did some bug-catching and fishing. Some of my most valuable catches included a goliath beetle (6,000 bells), cyclommatus (8,000 bells), scorpion (8,000 bells), atlas beetle (8,000 bells), giant beetle (10,000 bells), and three rainbow stags (10,000 bells each)!

I caught a rainbow stag! Someone tell me, already! Where's the rainbow?!

Midge asked me for a new catchphrase to replace “buzz off,” so I told her to say “in my nest” instead.

I listened in on a conversation between Tabby and Kabuki on the bridge. Tabby was trying to get Kabuki to say a tongue-twister: “Six slimy snakes sell seashells by the seashore.” But Kabuki couldn’t do it.

Kabuki: Six scummy steaks... Slick stormy spats... Stinky skeleton snot...!

In all, I earned over 125,000 bells on the night. It would have been more, but I spent much of my time trying to catch a freshwater goby for Drift. But despite playing for over an hour, I never found a single one of them!

Tonight, I got a letter from Kitty. She thanked me for the medicine I’ve been taking her lately, and she rewarded me with a snowboard.

Static told me he was thinking of moving away! Is he nuts? Sorry squirrel-friend, but you’re not going anywhere!

Static: And moving's such a hassle, anyway. All right, you've convinced me. I'll stay in Forest!

Just a side note: Tabby seems to be very clumsy lately. Falling into holes, running into nets. Hmm, what’s gotten into her? 😉

I posted my latest video the other day, and it features my favorite Animal Crossing villagers for every letter of the alphabet…from Agent S to Zell! Here’s the video; I hope you enjoy it!

Midge’s Mosquito

Last Friday, Midge told me that Static helped her decide that she needs a pet mosquito. Hahaha, he trolled you, Midge.

Midge: I was talking to Static, and we decided it was a great idea for me to get a pet mosquito!

I pitfalled Tabby because…well, it’s just what I do.

Tonight, Midge asked me to join in a game of hide-and-seek. Even though she disguised it as an exercise program…

Midge: I shouldn't get suckered in by fad workouts. I've really been into the hide-and-seek exercise program...

She gave me ten minutes to find her, Drift, and Maple. About 30 seconds into the game, I found Midge hiding behind a tree. She told me I still needed to find two other people…

Midge: Keep trying to find the other two people hiding, buzz off!
I think I have a good idea where one of them is…

Drift was also right there, so I was making quick progress. Maple took me a bit longer to find (she was behind the empty house by the river). But I still finished with four and a half minutes remaining. Midge congratulated me for winning the game, and she gave me a quazoid as my prize.

Midge: Well, it looks like I have a present for today's winner! Here it is! A brand-new quazoid.
By brand-new, do you mean freshly dug up out of the ground? Because that’s not exactly brand new…

There was a new house in town, so I went inside to meet Samson’s replacement: Drake the duck.

Drake: Eep! My place still isn't ready, and neither am I! I'm Drake, and I just moved here today.

Pascal was standing on one of the bridges in town, and I gave him a scallop. In return, he handed over a ship cannon. He also uttered some words of wisdom:

Pascal: Life is just what you dream when you're dreaming, maaan.

Kitty was sick with a cold, so I bought some medicine for her.

After I was done in Forest, I checked in my other town of Bananas (version 3.0, which I made two years ago). I mainly just wanted to see what villagers lived there now. They are: Tiffany, Peanut, Moose, Rasher, Caroline, Margie, Apollo, Gwen, Iggly, and…Drake. So I have Drake in both towns. 😛 I won’t be playing in Bananas very often though. But I did have a little chat with Iggly…for a video I’m working on.

I’ll see you next time. Have a great day!
