Roald Can’t Reach

I received Maple’s goodbye letter in the mail tonight. Wait, this thing is sticky! Did she seal the envelope with syrup?

Dearest Jeff, It's time for me to leave Forest--and you, Jeff. It saddens me to leave behind a friend who means so much to me. Thanks for everything! -From Maple

Bones is sick with a cold, so I gave him some bedicine medicine. Get well soon, doggy!

Bones: Dod't worry, I took by bedicine.

When I visited Roald, he was just staring at his toilet! It’s like he just realized he was too short for a toilet so big, and he was desperately trying to figure out how he was going to use it. 😂

At the Roost, I asked K.K. Slider for a random song and he played K.K. Lullaby for me. I was just hoping it wouldn’t put me to sleep! Fortunately, it didn’t. 😛

K.K.: All right, get ready to dig the riffs on this ditty: K.K. Lullaby.

Last Sunday was Bunny Day (Easter), and even though I didn’t participate in Forest, I did play in Mushroom. So I’ll be posting a new episode of Mario Plays ACCF in the next day or two. I’ll add it to this blog entry once it’s up. Have a good day and I’ll see you all soon! 🙂

Update: Here is the video. I hope you enjoy it!

Update #2: Just to let you know, I’ve put together a Bunny Day Guide. It may be too late for you to use it this year (unless you time travel), but it’ll be ready if you need it in a future year. I’ve included the Bunny Day dates through 2016.

Maple Leaves

Today, Puck told me he has to write his mom a letter and include a photo of himself to let her know he’s doing okay in Forest. However, Puck said all his clothes are filthy, so he asked me for some of my clothes.

Puck: So, uh, Jeff, do you think I could have some of your clothes so my mom won't have to worry?

I didn’t have any clothes on me (I was even wearing a pattern), so I went inside Able Sisters. I bought him a firefighter tee, and went back out to give it to him. But wouldn’t you know it? He said it wasn’t “fresh” enough, so he turned it down. Animals are too picky when it comes to clothes in this game.

When I went into Maple’s house, I saw that she was all packed up and ready to move out of town. Oh well. She’s probably moving to Canada.

Maple: I think you can tell by looking, but I've decided to move out of Forest for good, buzz off.

I spotted Limberg outside, and as he pinged me, I decided to set a mousetrap. 😉

Limberg, in a pitfall: Whaa! Why isn't the ground doing its job?!

I took the bus out to the city, and I found my old BFF Bob there. I was all aglow.

Bob: A huh huh huh! I snagged a balloon from the prize guy, pthhpth!

Bob was happy that he got a balloon from the prize guy (Phineas), so I made sure to get a balloon too. Phineas gave me an indigo balloon.

Jeff holds an indigo balloon in the city.

Video update time: I know it’s been a long time since my last episode of Mario Plays ACCF, but I do want to post another one before April ends. And if all goes well, I should also have a new City Folk Moments video in May.

Hiding Behind Sterling

Puck told me that he was recently in a race with Limberg and Bones. Limberg won the race, which wasn’t surprising to me. He was probably running fast to escape his own stench. Bones finished second; he probably had to stop for a nap (or for a “snack run”). And Puck came in last place.

Puck: I was in a race a while ago. Limberg came in first places, Bones came in second place...

Sterling asked me to play a game of hide-and-seek, and I agreed. I had ten minutes to find him, Bones, and… wait, who else is playing?

Sterling: So us, we're the hiders. Sizzly J, you're the seeker!

Sterling’s suit of armor is so big that I couldn’t see who the other hider was! Or maybe he/she just starting hiding a bit too soon! 😉

As soon as the game started, I spotted Sterling immediately! I didn’t even have to move!

Sterling is visible from the start of the game.

It took me a few minutes to find Bones; he was hiding behind Sterling’s house. And about two minutes after that, I found Puck–he was the mystery player. He was surprised I found him because he was sucking in his belly.

Puck: How did you find me?! I was sucking in my belly and everything!

I can already see the difference between GameCube Puck and City Folk Puck. GameCube Puck often calls me fat, while City Folk Puck seems to poke fun at his own weight.

Anyway, finding him allowed me to win the game. Sterling gave me a mini gargloid as my prize.

At the fountain, I threw an axe to say hello to Serena. 😉

Serena: Just because you get a little praise, doesn't mean you should get a big head about it. Sheesh.

I made a trip to the city to finally get my hair dyed brown again. When I returned to town, I found Pascal standing on a bridge. I gave him a scallop, and in return, he gave me a ship cannon. He also had some words of wisdom about giving things a try, even if you think you’re not good at them.

Pascal: Kids who think they're not good at stuff usually end up being good at it, maaan. Ya just gotta try.

Have a great weekend, everyone!
