Whitney Coming to Town

When I played City Folk last night, I found a new house on my path! This is in a different spot from where Opal lived, but I just replaced one house on a path with another. I haven’t decided if I’ll re-route the path or just leave it as-is.

A house that landed on my path in ACCF.

Inside, I found Whitney the wolf. I’m glad to see her; she is one of my favorite wolves in the series.

Whitney: I get ALL my news from the Internet.
World Wide Whitney

Today, I started up the game and ran into Limberg. He was bored, so he wanted to plant some ugly rumors about Whitney. Wow, she just got here, and Limberg is already starting with her. Whitney wasn’t standing far away either, so she may have heard what he said. Don’t worry, Whitney, I’ll try to get rid of Limberg soon, if I can.

Limberg: I wonder if now's the time to plant some ugly rumors about Whitney and watch the fun?

I sold some fruit, and I earned enough money to kick my bank account balance up to 36 million bells.

Your current balance is 36,000,000 bells.

Unfortunately, I didn’t find any fossils around town, so they must be well-hidden. I’ll have to sniff them out somehow.

At the Happy Room Academy in the city, I checked out the model room. This month’s theme was “cute rooms,” and Roald had the cutest room.

Roald's room, with an elephant slide, train set, space shuttle, kiddie clock, super toilet, and more.

I just posted a new video, taking a look at seven online features of ACCF that didn’t return in New Leaf. Here is the video:

It’s a similar concept to this one from last year… But this one focused on offline features that can still be used and enjoyed even without online support from Nintendo.

Zero Phone Reception

I received Opal’s goodbye letter in the mail tonight. I’ll miss the green elephant; she was a gem. And she’s one of the more underrated villagers in the series, if you ask me.

To: Jeff, I've decided to move away from Forest. It's hard to say bye to good friends like you. So I won't. Because I'm SURE we'll meet again somewhere! -From: Opal

It was hard seeing the empty spot where her house was. She’s lived in town since November of 2016! I guess I can finally fix the path here, though.

The empty spot where Opal lived.

Having that space open is good for one thing though: Summer bugs. You may not be able to tell from that picture, but her house was almost right on the beach. So that will be one less obstacle as I make my summer night bug hunts. Speaking of which, June has arrived and many of those summer bugs are out now! I caught an oak silk moth and a rainbow stag tonight.

I caught a rainbow stag! Someone tell me, already! Where's the rainbow?!

The rain was keeping some of the other bugs away tonight, but the season is just starting. Anyway, I caught Kitty snooping around my house. She wanted to buy my oak silk moth for 1,171 bells, and I agreed to sell it.

Kitty: I was about to go looking for an oak silk moth to buy! And here you walk up with one!

Down in the Roost, I asked K.K. Slider to play a random song and he played K.K. Rockabilly for me.

K.K.: All right, get ready to dig the riffs on this ditty: K.K. Rockabilly.

When I ran into Kitty again, she complained about the rain. She suggested that the sky was just dumping water on her because she’s so pretty! Ha! 🤣🤣🤣

Kitty: I'm fed up with this rain! It's like the sky is dumping water on me because I'm so pretty, kitty cat!

Then I ran into Roald, and he complained about us not talking lately. I actually forgot he still lived here! Or maybe it was just wishful thinking. But he said I need to write him a letter because his phone reception is so bad. 😛

Roald: Look, I get like zero phone reception in this yokel town, so I never know if someone's been calling me!

Yesterday, I posted the latest episode of Mario Plays ACCF. Mario says goodbye to one of his (my) favorite villagers, makes some new spring catches, and runs some errands for his neighbors.

See you next time! Have a great day. 🙂
