The Rizzo Show

Mere seconds after I started up the game tonight, Rizzo was already asking me for a favor. He wanted me to find a T. rex torso for him. I happily declined his request, which made him mad. 😀

Rizzo: Oh? Why not? You got other stuff to do? Your social calendar full to the rafters, squee?!

I made my way down to the Roost for the Saturday night show. I asked K.K. for a random song, and he played Steep Hill. One of my favorites!

K.K.: All right, get ready to dig the riffs on this ditty: Steep Hill.

After the show, I listened in on a conversation between Goldie and Rizzo. Goldie told him that she recently made some creamed corn that was really sour. Rizzo said that it actually sounded good to him, because he could use it as a prank to surprise people. Goldie got mad and told Rizzo he was awful! 😀 😀 😀

Goldie: You're absolutely awful!
It’s nice to see my favorite villager already hating my least-favorite villager. 😛

I started bug-hunting (with a little fishing on the side), and Rizzo approached me again. He wanted a new catchphrase to replace his default one, “squee.” So I gave him the same catchphrase I gave him in New Horizons: “I’m a rat.” 🙂

Rizzo: Well, I guess I'll be using this new catchphrase from now on, I'm a rat!

I didn’t mean for this whole entry to be about Rizzo, but that’s just how it worked out. He was one of the villagers that was outdoors, and he seemed to be everywhere I went! But I did pitfall him once to let him know to back off. 😉

As for my bug/fish haul, I caught three scarab beetles, two tarantulas, two rainbow stags, two goliath beetles, a hammerhead shark, an elephant beetle, an arowana, two atlas beetles, a cyclommatus, and a blue marlin. I made about 205k in an hour and 20 minutes. So that was worse than last week, but better than two weeks ago.

See you all next time!

Not You!

There was a new house in the spot where Bones recently lived, so I walked in to see what was going on. I was not happy when I saw Rizzo inside!

Rizzo: My name's Rizzo. If the boxes didn't give it away, I just moved into town today.
NO, NO, NO, NO, NO!!!

Not only do I strongly dislike Rizzo, but I recently had him in my New Horizons town. And it took me over a year to get rid of him! So I am not pleased to see him again, especially so soon. Ugh. Time to start setting some rat traps, I guess.

It was K.K. Slider night, so I went over to the Roost to check out the show. I asked for a random song, and K.K. played “To the Edge” for me. I didn’t care for it.

K.K.: All right, get ready to dig the riffs on this ditty: To the Edge.

After making my rounds, I began my usual summer night bug-hunting session…with a little fishing thrown in too. It didn’t take long for my now-2nd-least-favorite villager Spork to notice the eel in my pocket.

Spork: Oh, Jeff... I couldn't help but notice that you have an eel...
No, I’m not happy to see you.

He wanted me to give him the eel for free, but I asked if he would buy it instead. He offered me 2,533 bells for it, so I handed it over. Tom Nook pays 2,000 bells for eels, so I made a little extra profit this way.

I didn’t see any sharks tonight, but I actually caught two other valuable fish that I don’t normally catch: an arowana and this arapaima.

Showing off an arapaima I caught.

My bug/fish hunt went pretty well overall. I earned about 260,000 bells in a one-hour, 25-minute session.

I’ll see you all next time!

Bad Bug Night

I received Rasher’s goodbye letter in the mail today. So long, pig!

Jeff, Well, I'm finally moving out of Forest tomorrow. If it makes you feel any better, you're the only reason I stayed as long as I did. Thanks, pal. -Your pal, Rasher
I hate when my disliked villagers send such nice goodbye letters. 😛

Nat was hanging out in front of town hall, since the Bug-Off was held today. I played much too late to participate (as always), but Nat informed me that Lucky was the lucky winner. 😉 He caught a 46-point diving beetle…which probably wouldn’t have been very hard to beat.

Nat: The 46-point diving beetle caught by Lucky from right here in Forest.

K.K. Slider was in town, and he played Neapolitan for his Saturday night performance. My favorite part of the song was the chocolate part.

K.K.: All right, get ready to dig the riffs on this ditty: Neapolitan.

Back outside, I pitfall’d a few of my villagers for a future video. It’s nothing personal, guys. 😉

Gwen, in a pitfall: Don't look at me! This is SO...embarrassing...

In the western part of town, I spotted a tarantula hanging out on my UFO pattern. I backed away from it to get my net out, then slowly walked over and caught it. Success!

I caught a tarantula! I don't wanna arm-wrestle this guy!

However, my bug hunting was not going very well overall. I was finding lots of mid-range bugs, but hardly any rare ones. I think it’s because I was playing a bit earlier than usual (the 10 p.m. hour). I seem to have more success with rare bugs after 11 p.m.

So my one-hour, 20-minute session only netted me about 120,000 bells. But that’s okay, I’m still on a pretty good pace for meeting my goal since I racked up so much last week.

See you all next time!
