It was raining when I started up the game tonight, and the first two villagers I spoke with (Tom and Wolfgang) really seemed annoyed by the weather.
Up at the Roost, I asked K.K. Slider for a random song; he played “To the Edge” for me.
I think I know why it’s called that. It’s boring and very repetitive, so it takes you to the edge of insanity.
When I visited Spork, I finally got to see the inside of his house now that he’s unpacked. His house looked like a classroom! Is he a teacher? And yet the flooring is a backyard lawn, so maybe it’s an outdoor classroom…indoors. 🤷 It’s a pretty cool house though, honestly.
Because of last week, I was really scared that Lucky was going to be packed up in boxes when I entered his house today. Fortunately, everything looked normal. However, nobody else mentioned moving out, so I’m still not 100% sure that he’s safe.
Peak bug season is here now (through the end of August), and I’m pretty excited about that. 🙂 I love summer night bug-catching sessions. Catching all these big, valuable bugs is just so satisfying to me.
As I started out the night, I had 45.5 million bells in the bank. My goal is to earn two million bells in two months, so I want to reach 47.5 million by the start of September. My bug hunt started out slowly, as I was mostly just finding semi-valuable bugs like dynastid beetles, saw stags, miyama stags, and emperor butterflies.
But the pickings seem to get better as the night went on. I ended up catching three rainbow stags, two scarab beetles, a giant beetle, an atlas beetle, a scorpion, an elephant beetle, and a goliath beetle.
I made over 150,000 bells on the night in an hour-long session. But only 35-40 minutes of that hour was actively hunting. Not a bad start to the season. I’ll be doing lots more bug hunting this summer!
Good luck and happy hunting! 🐛🦋🐝🦟🐞
