I received Simon’s goodbye letter in the mail tonight. So long, monkey. π΅
It’s Christmas Eve, and Big Top told me that the way to Santa’s heart is through his belly. He suggested that I should leave Santa some apple strudel if I want to get a lot of presents. π
Christmas Eve is the night that Jingle comes to town, also known as Toy Day in later games. I found Jingle the black-nosed reindeer hanging out by a pond.
Each time we find him, we can get a special gift (a piece of Jingle furniture). But only if we disguise ourselves as a different person each time, by wearing a different hat (or a pattern as a hat). One interesting element of this event compared to other games is that since Jingle is delivering presents to villagers, we may find him inside the houses of villagers that aren’t home!
In fact, this is the only night of the year that we can enter any villager’s house, whether they’re home or not.
About 15 minutes in my session, the event ended at the stroke of midnight. I had obtained four pieces of Jingle furniture by that point, and I was able to sell it all for a total of 48,960 bells. Not bad! If you have the time (and a few spare hats), this event is a really good way to make some bells!
Happy holidays, everyone! π
I just got City Folk for Christmas? Any tips?
If you ever need to access your storage in the city, go to the auction house and ask for the checkroom. Get some coffee at the Roost every day and you can unlock gyroid storage. And I highly recommend playing with the nunchuk to move around.
As for general tips, make sure to plant any foreign fruits you may get from Mom in a letter, then plant the resulting fruit to make a bunch more. Foreign fruit is the best way to make money early on. Also, find the money rock every day and look for the fossils.
I can’t think of anything else at the moment, but feel free to ask if you have any questions. Good luck with your new town!
Jingle is the Grinch. His heart grew three sizes and he is returning all of the presents he stole.
I think itβs so awesome that you still update your blogs, I always love reading your updates π
