Brainy Snowman

I received Wolfgang’s goodbye letter in the mail tonight. So long, ya big grump. I’m sure we’ll meet again, in one game or another.

Jeff, Well, I'm finally moving out of Forest tomorrow. If it makes you feel any better, you're the only reason I stayed as long as I did. Thanks, pal. -Your pal, Wolfgang

I found a BB shirt in the recycle bin, and I decided to put it on. January is almost over, so I guess I can retire my New Year’s shirt by now. 😛

Jeff wears the BB shirt in town hall.

I immediately took the 2022 shirt and put it in my house. I didn’t want to accidentally sell it or anything…especially since I don’t think I used my other characters to get a spare this year.

There were two snowballs near Nook ‘n’ Go, so I rolled them up into an ugly snowman (on purpose). 😛 Mr. Frosty was not pleased with my work. 😂

(Misshapen) Snowman: NOOOOOOOO!

He should be thanking me for bringing him to life at all! Besides, having a big head makes him look like he has a big brain! 😉

Standing next to my snowman with a huge head.
(Spoiler alert: He doesn’t. But don’t tell him that.)

Saharah was in town, looking for old wallpaper. I asked around, and only Maelle and Lucky helped me out.

Lucky: So, sure, go ahead and take it. Between you and me, though, it makes a pretty tasty ice-cream cone.

Fortunately, I also had one old wallpaper left over in storage. So I took all three over to Saharah for some rare wallpaper. In return, she gave me a basement wall…which I was not thrilled about.

Saharah: here...a basement wall. Very exotic... Treasure it. It is a very rare thing.

I found two of today’s fossils, I caught a tuna, and I sold a few pieces of fruit. Once I sold everything, I had enough money to make my savings account reach 49 million bells.

Your current balance is 49,000,000 bells.

I took the bus out to the city, and the entrance to the Resetti Surveillance Center was open once again. But just like last week, there was nobody inside! Oh well.

That’s all I have for tonight, but I’ll be putting together the next City Folk Moments video soon. Keep an eye out for it, and have a great weekend!

Day Chickens

Over by Nook ‘n’ Go today, Big Top was talking about early birds, night owls, and…day chickens? 😂

Big Top: Here in Forest, there are early birds and night owls, and, um, what do you call them...day chickens?
Yes. Day chickens.

His point was just that the convenience store, with its long hours, is open for all three types of people. Or… birds.

I was disappointed to see that Wolfgang is moving out of town. Why couldn’t it be Maelle, Curt, or Gwen instead?

Wolfgang, packed up in boxes: See, this whole moving thing came up so fast I didn't think I'd have time to stay good-bye to folks.

At the Roost, K.K. Slider performed Lean on Me Soulful K.K. for me.

K.K.: All right, get ready to dig the riffs on this ditty: Soulful K.K..

My least favorite villager, Maelle, was talking trash about Big Top and Goldie (two of my favorites). She said she enjoys watching them throw shaved ice at each other, so she hopes they never get along. 😡

Maelle: It's fun to see them throw shaved ice at each other, so I hope they never get it sorted out!

Queenie asked me to catch a pill bug for her, and I agreed to help out. I had to bang six rocks first, but that wasn’t too difficult. When I took it over to her, she rewarded me with a Persian rug.

Queenie: Is this...? It IS! You brought the pill bug I wanted!

When I went to the city, I saw that the entrance to the Resetti Surveillance Center was open. I went inside, but neither Resetti nor Don was there! The lights were on, but nobody was home.

The Resetti Surveillance Center, with nobody home.

Starry Night

Curt was sick today, so I gave him some medicine that I had attached to a letter. After he drank it down, his pupils got really tiny! It looked odd.

Curt: Huh? Heeey! I feel all warm and tingly inside! Is this what happiness feels like, fuzzball?
Don’t say I was never nice to you. But I can’t promise it will ever happen again. 😛

I got to see the inside of Pudge’s house now that he’s unpacked, and it’s pretty cool! You gotta love that Arwing!

Pudge: If you wanted to, you could invite some of your friends to visit Forest.

Goldie asked me for some table-esque furniture, and Tom wanted something dignified. I was unable to find any tables, but I found a paper lantern at Nook ‘n’ Go. I wasn’t sure if it would qualify as “dignified,” but it was only 640 bells, so I gave it a chance. The small risk paid off, because Tom loved it.

Tom: Nice! I see something paper lantern in your grubby little paws!

He rewarded me with a go board.

There was a meteor shower underway, and I was able to snap a screenshot of Queenie talking about shooting stars…as one was flying overhead in the background.

Queenie: When I see a shooting star, I wonder if all the other stars in the sky get really jealous.

It was a fairly heavy meteor shower, so I was able to get screenshots of two shooting stars on-screen at once. In this pic, they were right next to each other!

Two shooting stars fly by overhead.
