Day Chickens

Over by Nook ‘n’ Go today, Big Top was talking about early birds, night owls, and…day chickens? 😂

Big Top: Here in Forest, there are early birds and night owls, and, um, what do you call them...day chickens?
Yes. Day chickens.

His point was just that the convenience store, with its long hours, is open for all three types of people. Or… birds.

I was disappointed to see that Wolfgang is moving out of town. Why couldn’t it be Maelle, Curt, or Gwen instead?

Wolfgang, packed up in boxes: See, this whole moving thing came up so fast I didn't think I'd have time to stay good-bye to folks.

At the Roost, K.K. Slider performed Lean on Me Soulful K.K. for me.

K.K.: All right, get ready to dig the riffs on this ditty: Soulful K.K..

My least favorite villager, Maelle, was talking trash about Big Top and Goldie (two of my favorites). She said she enjoys watching them throw shaved ice at each other, so she hopes they never get along. 😡

Maelle: It's fun to see them throw shaved ice at each other, so I hope they never get it sorted out!

Queenie asked me to catch a pill bug for her, and I agreed to help out. I had to bang six rocks first, but that wasn’t too difficult. When I took it over to her, she rewarded me with a Persian rug.

Queenie: Is this...? It IS! You brought the pill bug I wanted!

When I went to the city, I saw that the entrance to the Resetti Surveillance Center was open. I went inside, but neither Resetti nor Don was there! The lights were on, but nobody was home.

The Resetti Surveillance Center, with nobody home.

  1. Having started with ACNH, I look back with wide eyes at people who had to deal with villagers not asking your permission to move out. I tried to get a pill bug in ACGC last week and it took THREE DAYS of hitting every single rock. No joke. Random is random but good lord. But then I got a stringfish so I forgave it.
