Boomer’s replacement moved in today, and I was a bit surprised to see that it was Marcel the mime dog (again).
Marcel lived in Forest just last year, and he moved out last August. That’s less than a year, and he’s back already. That makes him the 2nd villager to leave in 2022, and return in 2023! (Goldie was the other one.) This sort of thing never used to happen, and now it’s happened twice in the past month. Weird.
Saharah was in town today, looking for old carpets. Grizzly was talking about her, and he even called her an oddball. 😛
I started asking around, and my old friend Tom (the cat, not the raccoon) was the only one to give me some old carpet. Thanks, Tom!
Fortunately, I had two others saved in storage. So I grabbed them all and started looking for Saharah. I was wondering if maybe this would be the time I would finally get the lunar surface, which Saharah still has not given me even once in 14.5 years. But it wasn’t meant to be: She took my three old carpets and just gave me a tatami instead.
It’s just frustrating that I haven’t been able to make a proper space room in this game in 14+ years.
Down by the beach, I caught my first shark of the season. 😎 I love how big the shark shadows look in this game. And the fins are so prominent compared to how they look in New Horizons, too.

Oh come on! Not him again! Looks like he’s the first bad villager to move back in. (Another if you count Gabi. Remember hating her back in New Leaf?)
Yeah, my Gabi hate actually started in City Folk. 😄 I’ve kinda softened on her a bit, though. She is kinda cute, in a zombie rabbit sort of way. 😉
