On Thursday, I received Goldie’s goodbye letter in the mail. It’s sad to lose her again, but at least I had some bonus time with her after she left the first time.
I made around 150,000 bells bug-hunting Thursday night. But I was helped out a bit by Harry, who gave me 9,344 bells for a goliath beetle (over 50% higher than the 6k that Nook pays).
Today, Roscoe became the latest villager to comment on my racing helmet. Like Tom before him, he used the ridiculous expression “Sweet monkey of mercy!” 😆
But unfortunately, that wasn’t the only time a monkey would cross my mind today. Just a few moments later, I walked into a new house and met Goldie’s replacement: Nana the monkey.
I don’t particularly like monkeys not named Champ, but I guess it could be worse. At least Nana isn’t as ugly as most monkeys in the game.
A couple of my villagers pointed out that the last fireworks festival of the year is tomorrow.
I may try to squeeze in some fireworks (and bug-hunting) tomorrow night if I can. I do try to play during fireworks at least once a year in each Animal Crossing game.
Marcel was sick with a cold. I gave him some medicine, both on Thursday and again tonight.
At the Roost, I told K.K. I was feeling a little sad, and he played K.K. Condor to try to cheer me up. It is a good song.
See you next time!
Nana is actually my favourite monkey. I like Champ too, but I just really like Nana’s bright pink colour.
Hey, any tips for planting hybrids in this game? I’m trying to catch a peacock butterfly which is the last bug I need and I’m having no luck spawning the hybrid colors for that big. I planted two red tulips by my house next to each other and watered them five times each. I don’t know if I should leave some space between them or how many times should I water them with my silver watering can or if they are being watered at all. Any tips? Please let me know
I recommend planting a lot more flowers, because your odds will be very small with just two. Lots of people recommend planting flowers diagonally, although I found putting them in a straight line worked well for me. (I lined my path with red roses on both sides.) You only need to water them once a day, though. Just keep at it every day, and plant more if you can. Good luck!
