Meet River

On Tuesday, I happened to be standing beside Nook ‘n’ Go, and I noticed all the little rain/dampness spots on the roof had different shapes and sizes. So I just took this photo. 😛

Gabi has been sick with a cold, so I gave her some medicine Tuesday, Wednesday, and yesterday.

Gabi: Wow... This tastes like felt-tip marker.
Why do you know what a felt-tip marker tastes like?

On Wednesday, Marcel told me that he plans to move out of town. I did not try to stop him.

Marcel: But if something doesn't happen to change things, it looks like I'll probably be going, non...

I’ve decided to make a new guide (or two), so I ended up making a new female character, named River. That’s right, the formerly empty house by the river is now the River house. 😛 It’s not just the clementine house any more. 😉

Tom Nook: From now on, this is your house, River.

But today, I was surprised to see Wendell waiting for River! He gave River the “mayor’s flag” pattern, which was free DLC sent out via SpotPass WiiConnect24 many years ago. I guess it was still saved on my system somehow. But wow, I had no idea it would still deliver this!

Wendell: ...So glad I found someone good to take Mayor's flag!

I won’t be playing as River very much (at least once I’m done with what I’m working on), but it will also give me additional storage space. I could always store more flowers, candy, or patterns with her. We’ll see.

I switched back to Jeff, and I saw that Gabi was finally over her cold today. She thanked me for the medicine by giving me a bow. (A bow meaning the weapon, like the one that shoots arrows.) 🏹

And Kapp’n had some different dialogue I don’t normally see; he assumed that I live in a drafty tree fort! What the heck, Kapp’n?

Kapp'n: Ye gots to be sure a lass won't run for the hills when she sees that drafty tree fort ye be livin' in!
