Midge and Chip?

I missed today’s fishing tournament (though I did participate in New Horizons), but Chip informed me of the results: Midge was the big winner with her 46-inch sea bass. Congrats, Midge!

Antonio asked me to make a delivery for him, and I was happy to help. I trotted the gift over to Roscoe; it was a Dutch shirt.

Roscoe: Well, let's see how she fits, giddyup!

Roscoe was happy with it, and he looked very pretty in his new dress! 😆

When I returned to Antonio, he rewarded me with a new hearth.

Midge was talking about how she was so impressed by Chip’s appetite, especially the way he gobbles down every fish you give him without hesitation. She even started imagining being married to him!

Midge: Could you imagine being married to Chip? You'd spend all your time in the kitchen, frying up fish!

But then she clarified that she didn’t want to marry him. It was a weird bit of dialogue, though.

Midge: ...Oh, no, wait, I'm not saying I want to marry Chip or anything like that, I eat bugs!

I sold a little fruit while I waited for 8:00 for K.K. Slider to appear, and then I headed to the Roost. I asked the traveling musician for a random song, and he performed Agent K.K. for me.

K.K.: All right, get ready to dig the riffs on this ditty: Agent K.K..

Shortly after that, I wrapped up my game for the night. Did any of you attend K.K.’s show tonight, or am I the only one who still does? 😆 Leave a comment below, and I’ll see you all next time.

October Arrives

October has arrived, and you can now purchase candy for Halloween at Tom Nook’s shop. As a reminder, I do have a Halloween guide if you’d like to refresh your memory on how it all works before the event comes at the end of the month.

The new month also brings a pukey, yellowish shade of grass. Fortunately, I played at night, when it doesn’t look quite as bad. Just don’t look directly at the pukey grass in direct sunlight! 😆 This is the ugliest time of year for grass, in my opinion.

Jeremiah told me that Midge was making fun of his catchphrase, nee-deep. So he asked me to come up with a new phrase for him, and I told him to say “I ate it.” Hopefully it will pay off at some point in the coming weeks.

Jeremiah: You said I ate it, right?

Big Top was sick with a cold tonight, so I gave him some medicine that I bought at Nook ‘n’ Go. He slurped it down as he did a backflip; not an easy task for an elephant!

At the Roost, K.K. performed “K.K. Marathon” for me. It’s one of my least-favorite songs in the game, at least when performed live. I’d rather listen to K.K. recite bad poetry in Bebebese than suffer through this dreadfully boring tune.

K.K.: All right, get ready to dig the riffs on this ditty: K.K. Marathon.

Mint was talking about catching bugs, and she said it makes her want to do it. Wait, what? 🤔

Mint: When I think about catching bugs, it really makes me want to go do it, ahhhhhh.
I guess she’s looking to catch some flies.

In the city, I stopped in Crazy Redd’s shop before he closed up for the night. He had these three items for sale:

Crazy Redd's items for sale tonight.
  • A wistful painting that’s lovely to see.
  • A rocket to launch you to a new galaxy.
  • A phone box for gossip, for you and your tea.

That’s all for now, but I’ll see you next time! Never Stop Crossing!
