November Tourney

The November fishing tournament was held today, and it was a carp-only tournament.

Roscoe: The fish for today is the majestic carp.

Robin had a bit of an attitude about the tournament. She said she hopes I have fun participating, because I don’t have a chance of winning. She felt like she had it all wrapped up!

Robin: I hope you have fun. Because I'm going to win, and that way we both get something out of today!
Don’t count your chicks before they hatch.

Roscoe had a funny line about the tournament, saying competition is what separates us from the…other animals. 😆

Roscoe: Competition is what separates us from the... other animals. Giddyup!

I initially caught two carps, but neither of them topped the high score at the time: Antonio’s 34.9-inch carp. I had caught about 20 fish and wasn’t finding many carps, so I decided to keep going until I caught a third one. But once I did, it measured at 37.1 inches; big enough to take over the top spot!

Chip: This could be a good one... Aaand it is! A new record! Gravy!

Chip gave me an orange chair for my prize. However, there was still a couple hours to go in the competition. I turned off the game for a while, but returned later. A letter was in my mailbox, congratulating me on my win! (Take that, Robin!) A silver trophy was attached to the letter.

When I spoke with Chip again, I noticed an error in his dialogue!

Chip: Ah! Oh, boy. We stopped accepting entries for the A carp Fishing Tourney at 6:00!

The A carp Fishing Tourney? I’ll have to include that in my next Typos & Mistakes video.

I then went over to the Roost to check out the Saturday night show. K.K. Slider performed K.K. Metal for me. 🤘

K.K.: All right, get ready to dig the riffs on this ditty: K.K. Metal.

I should also point out that today is the 16th anniversary of Animal Crossing: City Folk’s release! I’ll be posting my annual slideshow of best screenshots in a few days, but I also posted a new City Folk Moments video yesterday. Check it out if you haven’t seen it yet!

I’ll see you all next time! Never Stop Crossing!
