Astrid’s Adieu

I decided to check on my Nook points total today; I have 14,226 points. That’s more than I’d need to buy any of the available items…although I don’t plan on buying any right now.

Left: 14,226 Point.

Astrid was all packed up and ready to move out of town today. As Gin joked in the comments section last time, maybe Astrid was needed in some other town to help rid that town of Kitty. 😆 If you don’t get it, it’s a reference to what happened in Forest in 2020. (tldr; Kitty & Astrid had a fight, then Kitty moved out the next week.)

Astrid: Aha! It's you, sparkles... Well, you're right on time, hop on.

Tom asked me to deliver a gift (a bone shirt) to Grizzly, and I accepted the challenge.

Grizzly: I just mentioned wanting a bone shirt in passing, and POOF, here it is!

When I returned to Tom, he thanked me for making the delivery. And he rewarded me with a checkout counter.

After selling some items, my savings balance reached 61 million bells.

Your current balance is 61,000,000 bells.

A few hours later, I went down to the Roost for K.K. Slider’s Saturday night show. I asked for a random song, and he performed K.K. Samba for me.

K.K.: All right, get ready to dig the riffs on this ditty: K.K. Samba.

Hide and Psychic

Mint is now over her cold, as she told me in a letter. She sent me a ranch bookcase to thank me for the medicine I gave her last week.

Astrid told me that she was thinking about moving out of town.

Astrid: Yes, I'm thinking it might be time to leave this town, hop on.

Even though she’s only been here for 3.5 months, I didn’t try to stop her. I just wasn’t in the mood to put any effort into keeping her around, when I don’t really care about a mediocre kangaroo. 😛 Not to mention, she lived in Forest just a few years ago anyway.

Near River’s house, Nana asked me to play a game of hide-and-seek with her and her friends.

Nana: Some friends and I were just about to play a quick round of hide-and-seek!

She gave me 15 minutes to find her, Mint, and Roscoe. Mint was the first one I found; she was hiding behind Nook ‘n’ Go. Her snooty personality was showing, and she somewhat angrily asked why I didn’t find the other hiders before her.

Mint: Oh! By the way, why didn't you go find other people before you found me?

I later found Roscoe behind a tree, and with eight minutes remaining, I found Nana peeking out from behind my house.

Nana peeks out from behind my house during a game of hide-and-seek.

Nana gave me a mega alloid for winning the game, and she wondered if I have ESP. She even suggested that I should become a telephone psychic. 😛

Nana: Have you ever given any thought to becoming a telephone psychic, sparkles?
I knew you were going to say that.

Later on, I attended K.K. Slider’s Saturday night show at the Roost. I asked for a random song, and he performed K.K. Steppe for me.

K.K.: All right, get ready to dig the riffs on this ditty: K.K. Steppe.

No Jerkfaces

On Tuesday, Ruby told me that she wanted to move out of town. She hasn’t been here very long yet, so I asked her to stay. However, my words did not change her mind. At least not at first. 😛

Ruby: But it's no use! It's gonna take more than your salty, salty tears to halt this train!

However, I didn’t give up. After several more attempts, she eventually changed her mind and agreed to stick around a while longer.

Ruby: Wowza, pop star! You really want me to stick around that bad, li'l ears?

She also asked me for a baseball shirt, so I ordered one for her. Yesterday, I went to the moon to give it to her. 🌚 She rewarded me with a playroom wall, and she awkwardly complimented me by saying I’m not a jerkface? Kinda weird, but okay.

Ruby: If the world was full of you, there would be no jerkfaces, li'l ears!

Today, Curly told me that he once witnessed an argument between Sable and Mabel. He said that Sable won the fight, because she is more experienced. (Does that mean more experience arguing, or just more life experience?)

Curly: It figures that in the end, Sable would win the argument, nyoink!

Saharah was in town, looking for old wallpaper. I asked around, and three of my villagers had some to give me! It’s pretty rare to get that many all at once. Thanks, Tom, Big Top, and Grizzly!

Grizzly: Don't worry, your secret's safe with me. Take this and enjoy.

I took them back to Saharah, and she gave me a garden wall in exchange.

Saharah: Here...a garden wall. Very exotic... Treasure it. It is a very rare thing.

Mint has been sick with a cold this week, so I gave her some medicine on Tuesday, yesterday, and today. Get well soon, Mint!
