Egbert’s Return

Spork’s replacement moved into town yesterday, and it was my old buddy Egbert!

Egbert: I was worried that no one had noticed me moving here!
I noticed! Don’t worry, you don’t have to walk on eggshells here.

He previously lived in Forest from 2012-13, and he’s my 2nd-favorite chicken in the series (behind Hank, who hasn’t appeared since GameCube). It’s good to have him back! 🙂

In the city, Phineas gave me a bunny balloon. He started talking about rabbits, right as Francine was walking by. Do you think she heard him? 😆

Phineas: Keep a tight grip on that balloon! Rabbits have a way of getting away from you, you know!

Gabi has been asking me to get her some musical furniture, but none of the shops have had any. Today, she insisted that only I could help her out, because not even the internet could help her. 😆

Gabi: Only you can get me my furniture, Dr. J. Even the internet can't help me!
Actually, she already has some musical furniture. She has that piano, and a xylophone that was off-screen.

Egbert was out of his house today, and he was looking forward to Halloween coming up on Tuesday.

Egbert: Even though creepy stuff always goes down on Halloween, I'll be OK as long as I get candy.

I may actually participate in Halloween this year; I enjoy the event in this game. 🙂 So I may be back then with more. 🙂

Sporks are Disposable

On Thursday, I found Spork in his house, all packed up and ready to go! That was a surprise, but a good surprise!

Spork: Oh, oh, it's sparkles... I-I'm sorry! I didn't mean to take off without saying anything, I'm evil!

That’s the good thing about sporks: They’re disposable. No one has fancy sporks that they only bring out on special occasions. You use them once (or twice, at most) and then throw them in the trash. 😆

Pascal was standing on the northernmost bridge, and I found a scallop to give him. He told me that seaweed is the most beautiful flower.

Pascal: Seaweed is the most beautiful flower of all, maaaan. Believe it.
I don’t believe it. Lay off the seaweed, maaaan.

Spork officially moved out today, and I got his goodbye letter in the mail. At least he used the Super Mario Bros. 3 stationery. That’s probably the coolest thing he’s ever done. 😛

Dear Jeff, Moving day is here, and I feel weird! Half of me is excited to go to my new town, but the other half is sad 'cause I gotta leave. I hope we meet again! -From Spork

Harry was sick with a cold, and he was lucky I had some medicine with me. I gave it to him, and that’s my nice deed for the week. 😆

Harry makes a creepy face as he takes his medicine.
How can I talk you out of ever making that face again?

Saturday is K.K. Slider night, so I headed down to the Roost for the show. Tom was there enjoying some coffee. And for some reason, I don’t know if I ever realized you could talk to K.K. from way over here. 😛

K.K., turning back to see me: Cop a seat, and I'll send you spinning.

Once I sat down, he performed K.K. Love Song for me (and Tom). It’s a sad song, but it’s great. 💖

Roscoe’s Modern Lamps

Monday was Explorer’s Day, and Tortimer was standing outside of town hall for the occasion. He handed me a sailboat model, which is actually one of the better small-holiday items, in my opinion.

Tortimer: It's a sailboat model. Because everyone knows that explorers are really into the ocean and stuff.

Saharah was also in town, collecting old carpets. Harry and Nana were the only villagers that had some old flooring to give me.

Nana: Yeah, I have a carpet that I'm not using anymore. Here you go! It's yours!

But fortunately, I also had one in storage. So I took the three old carpets back to Saharah, and she gave me a chessboard rug for them.

Saharah: Here...a chessboard rug. Very exotic... Treasure it. It is a very rare thing.

I like the chessboard rug, but I already have one in storage.

Antonio asked me for some new clothes, so I tried giving him the caveman tunic I already had in my pockets. But he said it wasn’t subtle enough for him (even though he never said it had to be subtle in the first place).

Antonio: OK, so my eyes are burning from sweat, but I can tell you got it wrong. Try again!
Rude. You’re welcome.

Today, I was checking for a possible UFO (no luck), when I happened to see Tom and Gabi standing side-by-side, in matching paw shirts. They were both just staring straight ahead. Were they on a date? It was weird.

Roscoe has the modern furniture set in his house, but I noticed he has two modern lamps almost next to each other. There’s just one space in between them, and he was walking between them when I snapped this photo.
