After Hours

I received Wart Jr.’s goodbye letter in the mail today. In the letter, he advised me to keep my ears clean. Maybe that will help prevent future Warts. 😉

Jeff, I've made up my mind to move out of Forest. This place is great, and I'm gonna be sad to leave it, but it's time to move on! Keep your ears clean, kid! -Wart Jr.

The Bug-Off stand was set up outside of town hall, but Nat was already gone for the night by the time I got there.

Big Top was sick with a cold (and a trunk full of mucus), so I gave him some medicine. Let’s hope he gets better soon.

Big Top: By dose is so stopped up, it's like I'b wearing a bag od by head. A bag full of pudding! ACHOO!

The recycle bin at town hall had a robo-bed inside, so I took it and placed it in my attic. Now I can power down and put myself into sleep mode. 🤖

Even though K.K. Slider was in town tonight, I played much too late to check out his show. Villagers were still talking about him, though.

Apollo: You know K.K. Slider puts on a little show on Saturday nights in the cafe, right?

In fact, it was after 1 a.m., and even Redd’s shop in the city was closed.

Aw, shoot! We're closed! Business hours are 10:00 A.M. - 1:00 A.M. -The Management

Star Cat

As expected, my wart removal cream has worked wonders (just kidding 😂). But Wart Jr. is now all packed up and ready to move out of town. It does feel a bit weird to be saying goodbye to him after just a six-week stay in Forest, but oh well. It’s better to lose him than risk losing one of my favorites.

Wart Jr.: Anyway, as you can see, I've decided it's time for me to hit the road! I'm movin' outta town!

Up at the Roost, I spent 200 bells on a nice cup of coffee. After drinking it, my character actually said “Pa-zow!” Apparently it was so good that I thought it was a dream?

Strong AND full-bodied?! It's like I'm in some crazy dream!

While I was in the museum, I made a rare trip upstairs to the observatory. I decided to make a new constellation, a cat!

My cat constellation.

Celeste registered it for me, and she told me that its best viewing will be on March 7th.

Celeste: Splendid! I shall now register cat.

When I visited Vladimir, I noticed that he redecorated in an unusual way: Literally all of his furniture is in the front half of his house!

Vladimir's curious decorating.

I suppose he could use the back half to run around and play. But then again, maybe that’s where he goes to fart (or should I say, where he does his putin‘.)

Later on, my cat constellation ever so slowly rolled across the sky. I took this photo of it over my fountain. 🙂

See you all next week! Don’t forget to check in on your villagers, and Never Stop Crossing! 🙂

That’s a Wrap!

I barely made it to the fireworks festival tonight, with mere minutes to spare. Tortimer gave me a Roman candle, and I promptly gave him his annual turtle wax.

The shell shine costs extra, sorry.

I also looked up to the sky to enjoy a few moments of the fireworks.

Wart Jr. walked into the plaza, and he told me that he was thinking about moving out of town!

Wart Jr.: It's just about time I packed up my things and moved on, grr-ribbit.

I encouraged him to go, although I must admit I don’t dislike him quite as much as I thought he would. Despite his appearance, he seems like a nice guy. But I’m okay with him leaving anyway. 😛

After the clock struck midnight, the fireworks ended for the year. Tortimer was sad that he’ll have to wait until next year to see more. I think I’d have to agree with him. It feels like there weren’t enough of them this year (because we only had four Sundays in August, compared to five the past two years).

Tortimer: Well. I guess this is it for fireworks this year. No more fireworks until next year. How sad...
That’s a wrap!

Tom was still sick tonight, but he initially tried to blame it on a lasagna allergy! When did he have lasagna? Who does he think he is, Garfield?

Tom: Ha-choo! That's weird. My lasagna allery hasn't acted up in ages. I better not be sick...

I gave him another dose of medicine, so hopefully he will get well soon.

Since it was very late when I played (and since I’ve already met my bell goal for summer), I didn’t do any additional bug-hunting (except for a few that I saw as I made my rounds).
