Smells Like Rain

I was pleasantly surprised when I started up the game to see that it was raining in Forest today. It hadn’t rained for several weeks, and I was glad to finally get a break from watering flowers.

Del: How can you look so happy in this nasty weather? Yup... I always knew you were a strange one.

I still made my rounds to check for any new hybrids, and there was one new black rose in the northeast part of town, in Pac-Man Pond Park, as I call it. It’s Sunday, so I rode the bus into the city to check if Frillard was performing at the theater. But sadly, no such luck. Just regular old Dr. Shrunk emotions, as usual.

After that, I switched to my Scott character. I mainly use him for flower storage, as well as my obstacle course-like house. Since I had taken one of his golden beds to put in my main house basement, I left him a couple items to sell. That way, he could order himself a new golden bed to replace the one I took. I think I also stole one of his golden chairs for my main basement, so I’ll have to replace that another time.

Winnie Leaves

Not much happened today. No new black roses, no visitors, etc.  But I did get a letter from Winnie, saying she moved out. I didn’t even realize she had decided to go. I guess I hadn’t talked to her lately. The interesting thing is that Winnie just moved out of my GameCube town a few days ago. So Winnie left me twice this week. 😛

Seagull on the Beach

I shot down Gulliver’s UFO yesterday, so I knew he would be on the beach today. So checking for him was the very first thing I did.

An unconscious Gulliver lies on the beach near his crashed spaceship in ACCF.I woke him up and handed over the spaceship part he needed, and he gave me…the Mouth of Truth. For some reason, I always want to call it the Mask of Truth. Oh wait, I just figured out why. The Mask of Truth was that mask in the N64 Zelda games, the one that let you talk to those weird stones and decipher their messages. But anyway, back to ACCF. I put the Mask Mouth of Truth in my basement to check it out.

The Mouth of Truth I got from Gulliver in Animal Crossing: City Folk.It still changes its face when you press the A button. And even though it makes the shock/disbelief sound, it doesn’t visually show the little burst thing around your head when you would normally do that emotion. On GameCube, it did. And that made it more dramatic. Oh well. I’m still glad to get my first Gulliver item on City Folk. I’ll have to keep trying to shoot him down again and again until I get that Metroid. 🙂

I then watered my flowers, finding one new black rose tonight. At 10:00, it was time to open my gate. T.Zelda and Ben came in.  T.Zelda had some cool Final Fantasy patterns that she made and put on display.

T Zelda: lol twin moogles.I also noticed in Chief’s house that he has three different clocks, all lined up in a row. He must be the most punctual wolf in Forest. Ben and T.Zelda left around 11:00 and I got out my GBA and played some Mario’s Picross until Georgie came over. We hung out for a while, but nobody else came. It’s been pretty quiet in Forest the past few Fridays.

Jeff: Chief has 3 clocks in a row.
