Day 26
With no Isabelle in the office today, I had to find a client on my own. I ran into Scoot the duck outside, and he wanted a house with a pool to train in. I'm not sure if he's training for the Olympics or if he's just struggling to stay afloat. But regardless, I can certainly help him out with that!I tried to pick out a nice, sunny location for him. Being near the water wasn't an issue, since he's going to have his own swimming pool anyway. In addition to the 2x2 space backyard pool that has been in previous Animal Crossing games, a larger 3x3 pool has also been unlocked. Unfortunately, we can't actually put characters into the pool.
I decided that I didn't need to put both pools outdoors; the larger pool should be enough. I put in three beach chairs, some display rugs to make some outdoor tiles around the pool, and I lined the entire area with blue hydrangea bushes. A few apple trees on the west side of the property completed the outdoors. I like how this came out.
The inside of the house is going to resemble the outdoors too. Scoot should appreciate having a place to swim even on days when the weather outside is frightful. I used the backyard fence and daisy meadow for the wall and floor. Scoot gets a backyard pool, a shower, a life ring, and I gave him a beach chair in here as well. I added some beach sounds for the sound scenery. I also gave him a few cabana items to fill out the room.
Scoot loved the home, and he taught me the sleepy emotion. Those beach chairs sure would be a nice place to take a nap! I uploaded Scoot's house to the Happy Home Network, and you can visit it by using the code 0303-7785-329.
Day 27
Today, Isabelle was back once again. She told me I can now build either a concert hall or a hotel. But then she didn't even let me choose! I apparently have to make the concert hall first. Fine by me.As you might expect, dozens of musical instruments have been unlocked for this project. But surprisingly, only one instrument or mic is required. I put a mic stand on stage, along with other instruments for a rock band--guitar, bass, and a drum set. Additional instruments are off to the side--a piano, harp, and saxophone. On the opposite side, I put in the DJ's turntable. You've heard of DJ K.K., but what about DJ Isabelle?
Of course, I also put in seating for an audience, speakers, and plenty of lighting. What do you think?
If you'd like to visit my concert hall, the code is 0898-7789-400. I returned there at night to see how the villagers are enjoying it. The new area seems to have attracted a crowd; I noticed that many of them are holding coffee or donuts!
Inside, Camofrog was on the mic singing. Peanut and Graham were on the guitar and bass, while Rooney was off to the side playing the saxophone.
For the next song, Graham took over vocals. It's pretty entertaining watching them perform. But once I was done, I headed back to the office to save my game and wrap up my night.
Thanks for visiting! See you next time!
