Day 36
Today, I met Rooney out on Main Street. He wanted a boxing gym for his house...I can do that! The outside appearance isn't as important with an indoor-theme like a boxing gym, so I didn't do a whole lot outdoors. I put in a couple of beacon fires, a sandbag for some outdoor training, and a metal bench for when Rooney needs to take a rest. I set the season to spring for no reason other than the fact that the cherry blossom petals are pretty. But I suppose the springtime would be a good time to train outdoors, since it's not freezing out but not excessively hot either.
Of course, I put in a full boxing ring indoors. It doesn't leave room for much else, though--even though I chose a larger, eight-by-six room size. But I managed to include a sandbag, a speed bag, and a judge's bell. But shockingly, the ringside seating and boxing ring mat have not been unlocked! That makes absolutely no sense at all for a boxing-themed house. So I ended up using the sporty wall and red tile floor. I also used cheering as the sound scenery; it's a natural fit. As for Rooney and I, we hopped into the ring for some competitive napping.
When I was done, Rooney taught me the inspiration emotion. He had his boxing gloves on during the montage. (Cue the Rocky theme song).
I uploaded his house to the Happy Home Network; the code to visit it is 0392-7721-965. Or just scan this QR code.
Day 37
I stopped in the concert hall briefly, and I found Tangy singing a song! Maelle and Ribbot were also in the band, performing on stage. They were the best fruit-duck-robot band I've ever heard!I found a new client in Merry, who wanted a place to practice painting and sketching for art class. I put a few statues in her yard, as well as some blue hydrangeas along the sides of her property.
Indoors, I quickly found that there was no new artsy furniture unlocked for this project. A giant-clam shell was added, although it can't be turned into a music box like it could in New Leaf. A ceramic tile floor was unlocked, but no new wallpaper--so I used the arched window in here.
Using some famous works of art in here was an easy decision. I also gave her a painting set and used some of my own patterns on easels. "I might paint a picture of a clown."
All of the designs shown are available here if you want to scan them for yourself. When I was done, Merry taught me the shock emotion. I uploaded the house to the Happy Home Network--its code is 0202-7721-945.
See you all next time! Have a good day!
