Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer Blog

Hello, and welcome to my Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer Blog! I'm Jeff and here you can follow along with my adventures in the game. Unlike other Animal Crossing games, Happy Home Designer does not run in real-time. So each blog entry will usually cover multiple "game days." If you'd like, you can start from the beginning or just jump right in!

Day 50

Antonio the anteater was out on Main Street looking for a new house today, and he told me that sometimes simple things are the best things. I agreed to help him out with his request, even though I wasn't sure what to expect.

The items that were unlocked for his house just confused me: A rolling closet. Potted white flowers: pansies, cosmos, roses, and violets. And most inexplicably of all, a Mouth of Truth! A stone face that bites your hand off fits the description of something simple?!

I decided to play along with the "simple" theme by putting a Mouth of Truth out in the yard, along with lots of white roses. His house was all white too. Don't get it dirty!

Inside, I went with the minimalist furniture set. It doesn't get more simple than that. I used a neutral wall and a white-carpet floor with it; I also included Antonio's precious rolling closet and some white flowers.

When I was done, Antonio taught me the girl's pose. Of course. A girl teaches me the boy's pose and a boy teaches me the girl's pose. Maybe I should teach Antonio the anteater's pose.

To visit Antonio's house, enter 0403-7771-979 as the project code. Or scan this QR code.

Recently, I turned on the option to share my gameplay info with Nintendo--whatever that means. Doing so unlocks the compact car. I should have done this sooner; I could have used the car in Filly's convenience store parking lot!

I then connected to the internet to visit some rooms created by Diana. She calls this one a royal academy, and she's not kidding. This is the fanciest school lunchroom ever!

The animals seemed to know it was a royal academy, because they were all wearing crowns! The code to visit this facility is 0003-7719-929.

I also really like the cafe she created for Marshal. The project code is 0695-7759-905.

And last but not least, this is Louie's front yard (project code 0691-7751-900).

See you all next time!

Japanese version calls it "woman pose" not girl's pose. Just wait, you'll get Takumi's "fight" which I'm curious to see what it's titled in English.

@Jeff, No problem! It's working fine :)

Hey Jeff!
I just wanna say I love your blogs (Especially this one!) and was wondering if you could visit my department store (You don't have to show it in the blog I'd just like for you to see it). The code is: 0800-7774-905. Thanks again!

Ellah · Nov 6, 2015

Um... would you like to visit any of my homes/facilities, Jeff? At least take it under consideration... if you want... :) (Btw Diana, your houses are amazing... they really got me inspired for some of mine)😃

Diana · Nov 7, 2015

@Ellah, thank you so much! And it it was you, thanks for three starring all of my facilities! I really appreciate it :)
I got some amiibo cards and an NFC reader, finally! I've also uploaded a couple new homes and updated Marshal's (although the only thing that changed was that it's sunset now and there's other animals there). I'll upload th codes next time I play HHD.

Jeff (mod) · Nov 11, 2015

@Ellah: Sure! Feel free to post a couple of your project codes! I try to visit and rate them all (unless one person posts a huge list--so please limit it to 3 or 4 of your best homes), but I'm not able to feature all of them in the blog.

Hey Jeff, just wanted to say you accidentally added a " to the end of your link to this post from the main page. So it's /50.htm" instead of /50.htm

Just thought I should let you know.

Jeff (mod) · Nov 6, 2015

@Beth: Thanks, it should be fixed now.

Diana · Nov 6, 2015

Oh and in case you don't know, when visiting a house or facility you can pick up your villagers like your own character and an outfit icon will appear and you can change their outfit. Then you can upload the home or facility to HHN via client book and any visitors will see an animal wearing that outfit (no garentee it will be the same animal, that's why some boys were wearing princess dresses and some girls were wearing tuxs) you can also use that same method to dress your character, since outside of work you don't need to wear the uniform and you can wear any clothes animals have given you thus far. However anyone visiting via HHN will not see your character nor the outfit they're wearing.

EEEEEEEEEE!!! Thank you so much for visiting my creations! I'm glad you liked them!

Ellah · Nov 8, 2015

@Diana, no trouble. Your creations were amazing! If you're interested, here are a few of mine:
Tom Nook's 3-story mansion: 0893-7761-983
Opal's Lodge place thing: 0699-7774-952
Eloise's anime-themed home: (this one isn't really that good) 0292-7701-817
I have a few more homes and facilities too, but these are the best. And Jeff, if you'd like to visit and rate some, that would make me very happy as well...😋

Jeff (mod) · Nov 11, 2015

@Ellah: Oops, I replied to your older comment without seeing the new one. Thanks, I will check them out. There is a bit of a delay though, so it may be a few days or even a couple weeks, but I'm trying to get to them all!

Lewis · Nov 6, 2015

Where do you go to write in the codes or scan QR codes? I have looked everywhere for this Red computer or something but I don't think I've unlocked it for some reason. And I have finished all the facilities, so I'm a bit confused

Jeff (mod) · Nov 11, 2015

@Lewis: Use the red computer on the first floor. From the entrance, take two steps forward and it's on the right. Once Lottie connects you to the internet, choose one of the two tiny icons in the lower-right corner. The house with the magnifying glass lets you enter a code; the QR code with the magnifying glass lets you scan a QR code.
