There was a camper in town today, and it was a person in a bunny suit! Francine, to be specific…although I’ve liked calling her Frankengaga since the City Folk days. 😛 I had no interest in inviting her to move in.
Last night’s wishes resulted in me finding three regular star fragments and one large star fragment on the beach today.
Redd was in town, and I took a chance on a dynamic painting. I also bought an old-fashioned alarm clock from Redd. (I later gave the clock to Keaton as a gift).
The island-designing bug has bitten me once again. I put in a new “secret” path that starts off just to the west of Lopez’s house (near the waterfall) and goes north back to the private beach (and today, Jolly Redd’s ship). While it isn’t completely hidden, I think it would be easy to miss if you weren’t looking for it.
Here’s another viewpoint from a higher location. It’s obviously easier to see from here.
And this is the view from the path itself, about halfway through.
I’ve had this idea in my head for a while, but one thing bothered me about it: You can’t build bridges over land (only over water). But since the path is only space wide, I am still able to jump across the gap. So it’s not really an inconvenience if you’re walking on the cliff.
If I moved the entrance over a few spaces to the right, I could plant a tree in front of it. That would make it even more hard to spot (from the lower level, at least). But I’m not sure if I’ll do that or not. It’s not like I’m hiding a buried treasure of a million bells back there. 😛 So it’s obviously not a necessity…but I may still consider it. For now, I like it how it is.
As for other changes I have in mind, I still don’t have any inclines in the western half of the island. That’s something I’d like to change, although I don’t have any idea where I’ll put them just yet. I might not do that this week…but I’m not sure. I’ll just see if I’m in a designing mood or not. 😛
There is one thing I have decided, though: I want the top cliff on the west to stay relatively unchanged. Keaton’s house will stay there, as will the many cedar trees. Perhaps I could put in some camping related items, but I want Eagle Mountain to remain as natural as possible.
Thanks for reading today’s entry! See you next time!
