I received my dynamic painting in the mail from Redd, and I rushed it over to the museum. Good news, everyone! It’s real! 🙂 It was on display in the glass partition, and Hornsby was already there admiring it!
Lopez put me to sleep today…literally! He taught me the dozing reaction, although I just slept through whatever he said about it. 😉
Leif was in town, and I bought some red windflower seeds from him. That allowed me to finish up what I needed near Rizzo’s house.
The daily glowing spot was in Sudden Valley for the third day in a row today. I know I said it seems to be there nearly half the time, but now I’m wondering if it’s more than half the time.
Down on the beach tonight, I caught my first goliath beetle. Even though I’ve seen one or two prior to tonight, I didn’t catch them. But I got this one, and he will live in my museum forever.
After making my rounds, I started up the island designer app once again. I spent a lot of time on my western cliff, trying to figure out what I wanted to do with it. I went back and forth, and my ideas weren’t quite working out.
As I took a little break, I had a chat with Midge. She wanted my scorpion that I just caught. In return, she offered some bottom-rimmed glasses! For a scorpion!
Since I like Midge, I agreed to the trade…even though it’s probably the worst trade I’ve been a part of in New Horizons to date. Yeowch, she better give me her picture soon after this. 😉
As for island changes, I decided to move the campsite (again). This time, I wanted it up on the cliff…not the top level, though. I tried out sooo many locations, but nothing was looking right or fitting right. I had to reshape the cliffs a number of times, but I eventually decided on a good spot (after about an hour of indecision). I also put in a new incline. I’m not ready to show the area yet, but perhaps tomorrow, once the campsite and ramp are installed.
