Today is the day that Keaton professed his love for me!

Well actually, he was just teaching me the showmanship reaction. But close enough.
In older games, the challenge with flowers was keeping them watered so they didnāt die on days without rain. Fortunately, that doesnāt happen in New Horizons. But there is a different problem that has arisen: Removing the many unwanted flowers that pop up after a rain! I had a ton of them today, mostly on my paths.

And unlike in previous games, you canāt use your shovel to kill flowers! So itās kind of a pain having to clean them all up. (But donāt get me wrongā¦ this is still a much better āproblemā to have than having to water hundreds of flowers every day!)
Despite the summer solstice and Fatherās Day occurring this weekend, neither one was mentioned in the game. In earlier games, you would receive a letter and a gift from Dad on Fatherās Day. And the summer equinox had its own event in New Leaf. But they are just two of many conspicuous absences in New Horizons.
After I was done with my daily tasks, I started working on my new attraction. I think Iāll just call it a race. Even though it may have a few simple obstacle course elements, itās different. For one thing, itās not a one-on-one thing; itās something everyone can compete on at once. I wonāt reveal what it is until itās done and Iāve had my first race on it. Hopefully that will be later this week, but I still need to order (and make) some more items.
In case anyone was wondering, my daily glowing spot appeared near the sumo ring today. It was another āclearā spot with nothing else around.

Note to whoever left a 10k bag of bells in town on Friday: Please donāt. I may use this as the prize for my first run of my upcoming race. But in the future, please donāt litter in Forest, even if itās bags of money. Iām a stickler about wanting to earn my progress in the game on my own. If you really insist on giving me a gift, feel free to leave me pitfall seeds or party poppers. Those are fun things that donāt impact progress in the game, so I donāt mind them at all.
Just
Have a great day, and Iāll see you all soon!
Hi,Jeff. Iām Lola, and I have a town named Sun Beach. My villagers are Mira,Cobb,Nibbles,Stu,Marina,Mitzi,Megan, and Naomi. Your blog really helps me learn a lot about animal crossing, thanks!
Hi Lola! You have some nice villagers. Mitzi is one of my favorites! Iām glad youāre enjoying the blog and learning something new.
Thanks!! I plan on having Fang move in soon, and Iām trying to kick Naomi out. Recently,I got Cobbās photo! I was so excited!
Nice, I like Fang too. Congrats on getting Cobbās photo!
Iāve also been making paths with the Custom Designs app,one square at a time! Also,I dreamed of your island. Love it and love your villagers!
Yes, flowers wilting was very annoying in my opinion and Iām happy that isnāt a problem here. The only thing I wish would make cleaning flowers easier is if they would just stack in your inventory!!
Yeah, that would be a big help if flowers would stack! Weeds stack, so why not flowers?
this Saturday you should try Farewell or Drivinā
I really enjoy reading your blogs Jeff!
Thanks! Glad to hear it!
Timmy and tommy I think either rang me or sent me a letter but they did Tell me about the new seasonal items
Sorry Jeff I was the person that left the money on Friday. I went a little overboard with betting on the table tennis tournament lol. Iāll make sure I donāt give you items that add progress next time!
Once in New Horizons it rained for 5 consecutive days! I was getting rid of flowers for a hour I had so many! Have a great day!
